Good riddance. What a colossal failure and embarrassment.
Only suprised that they didn't decide to hold out through the holiday.
I'm thinking someone should do a "Religious Repertory Company" and then can rotate Scandalous, Sister Act, Leap of Faith, Godspell, JCS Superstar, Doubt, Sister Mary, Nunsense, and well, you get the idea...

So much potential. Shame.
Qolbinau, I didn't know you had seen the show?
You all better be nice and stop being so bitchy. Or you will meet the biggest bitch of all.. KARMA.
So many people out of a job. Shows should stay open forever to keep people employed in them.
Not surprised. Didn't see it, did not want to. I hope this cast moves on to better things especially Carolee! Wonder what Kathie Lee will say tomorrow.
Maybe now Carolee can do that 80s pop tribute concert at 54 Below I had a dream about the other night.
I didn't see it. I just love trolling. But indeed with its massive financial failure (one of the biggest in a long, long time) and critical trashing I feel embarrassing is an apt description.
But will there be a cast album? LOL!

My grandma, a patron to the Church of Gifford, swore up and down at Thanksgiving that the show was doing well and that she wanted to go see it. Had to break out my phone and show her grosses that the show was, in fact, not doing well and if she wanted to see it to make it ASAP because it won't be there past January.
How wrong I was...

don't laugh (regarding the cast album). kathie lee has a recording studio in her house. she might independently release something.
yikes.
All those who revel when a show closes and just love to bash shows should be ecstatic now. Well done.
Enjoyed it much more than the overpraised Wicked.
You say "Well Done" as if they (we? they?) are actually responsible for the situation, lol.
Did they advertise much? I don't recall seeing a tv ad for it.

Yes, just like a restaurant that serves awful food, this show should stay open to keep people employed even though this opens up the theatre and frees up the cast to be in shows worth their talent.
Great analogy.
Well, they tried...and it just wasn't meant to be. I think Broadway needs a significant break from any new religious themed musicals. The track record is not favorable, apparently. Best of luck to the cast/crew of "Scandalous." from RC in Austin, TExas
I Hope they do make a cast album. I really enjoy Carolee Carmello's performance. Personally, I think they should have used the money they spent keeping the show open this past week to record it instead.
If the church can afford to keep this open they can afford a cast album.
