I believe the Britney/NSYNC Grease rumours were for a film remake that never happened.

And Britney is [was] a great entertainer. Could she sing well? In the early years she tried and could. But overall she had the whole package. I don't see any reason why this wouldn't work. It might be a good career move for her at this time.

it seemed like there was just a rumor that britney was joining the SA cast too...i think everyone just REALLY wants kevin and her to be on broadway together so they make up all these rumors

If this happens, I truly feel that all actors, auditioning, working, not working, should strike.

This is a slap in the face to people with talent, drive, who face rejection on a daily basis!

I thought they found a new low by casting Hicks as the Teen Angel; I was wrong!

She's going to be cast as "Sandy"?
Isn't she too much of slut to be "Sandy"?
Maybe they meant she was going to do "Sandy" in the revival of "Annie". Considering she is a major b#tch, that would be perfect casting.

I'm pretty sure this is NOT true. Because, she's currently recording a new album and has just started working on a few TV projects. Also, I'm sure she wont be moving to New York anytime soon... she'll want to stay in LA for her boys.

However, she did an off-broadway show when she was little, so she does have experience. And, people can disagree, but she actually has a good singing voice. She uses a "sexy tone" to fit her music and her image, but she can do some traditional singing as well.

Not only should Britney not be on Broadway, she is completely wrong for Sandy. Maybe 5 years ago, but now she can no longer ever come across as innocent. If she had to be in Grease, she should be Rizzo or Marty.

She's too old for this role and if she was going to do any role in Grease, it shouldn't be Sandy, she doesn't compute with me as a Sandy. As a Rizzo, yes, but Sandy, no.

I would think there would be more talk about who would be replacing Crumm as Danny since the announcement came out about him leaving.

I'm well aware of stunt casting. Most of the time it bothers me, some of the time, I'm okay with it, and sometimes, it's great. This, however, is beyond stunt casting. This girl has nothing to offer in terms of an over-produced pop moron. It's an insult to people who actually work on their craft.

This girl doesn't deserve to rob someone of a job. She's already done that on TV, must she do it on Broadway as well?

They were also once considering her for Sandy in the "Grease 3" movie. She did some readings, but nothing happened and that was way back in 2001, when she was mentally stable. I actually feel sorry for Britney Spears. She's bi-polar, and how would you like it if the media always followed you around? Celebrities in musicals, this is not the first rumor. There was once an article about Lindsay Lohan expressing interest to be Elphaba, and what ever happened to that Kevin Federline "Legally Blonde" rumor? NOTHING, because none of these things ever happen.
