Am I the only one who screams out HOW DIDNT LAURA BELL OR ORFEH WIN A TONY FOR LEGALLY BLONDE !!!!!! They were seriously more than amazing ! Are there any actresses who you all feel got snubbed
Yes, you might be the only one who screams out for that.
I just saw The Color Purple today. Obviously Cynthia Erivo will win Leading Actress, but after seeing the show and realizing how perfect this one particular actress is, I think Danielle Brooks needs to be recognized. She's PERFECT.
Ashley brown for mary poppins(that was a packed year though). Lauren ward should have seen more acclaim for miss. Honey.
Shouldn't the title be deserveD Tonys, if we're just rehashing past losers?

Though I love Legally Blonde and think it is very underrated, the actresses that did win were far better in their performances.
If we're going deserve, why doesn't Terrence Mann have a Tony by now? He should have won for Javert, and now I fear he will never get one. Also deserving, Brian d'Arcy James, Danny Burstein, Jan Maxwell, Raúl Esparza, Judy Kuhn, the list goes on and on.

Tovah Feldshuh should have won for Golda's Balcony. You can find Phylicia Rashad's phony Greer Garson like acceptance speech on YouTube. Feldshuh was robbed.
I think 6 tony award nominations should just equal one tony award where the tony awards just end up giving you just for being nominated a 6th time.
It's far more rare to have 6 nominations and not win than just have one win.

This is one of the most ridiculous ideas I've read on here.

We'll see if Danny Burstein wins this year.

I really enjoyed LBB's performance but she was up against some giants that year. Sutton Foster in Drowsy Chaperone, but she was up against some of the best as well.
^Sutton Foster was nominated for The Drowsy Chaperone the year before.
Also, it sounds bad because LBB created the role, but Sheridan Smith had a better comedic timing.
I think Barbra should have gotten the Tony, but it's too late for that now. Erivo is my favorite to win this year, but I haven't been able to see any of the other contenders so far (Mueller /Benanti /Cusack (will she be nom?)/ McDonald). Another person who really deserves a Tony is Megan Hilty.
^We'll see if Megan Hilty wins a Tony this year.

If she gets nominated. It's a busy category, almost entirely taken up by the cast of Noises Off. I'm expecting The Humans and possibly A View From The Bridge to show up here as well. I actually want her to win for a musical.
^If she at least gets nominated, that would still be great as it would be her very first one.

Beth Malone for me was a big miss - so much was made out of Syndey but Beth is truly the soul of the show.
Laura Bell was up against, in many peoples opinions, the most deserved Tony win in history. There is no way that anybody who saw Miss Ebersole as Little Edie would say that Laura Bell deserved the Tony over her, although both were fantastic. To answer the question at hand, Krysta Rodriguez is overdue for a Tony, as well as Erin Davie, in my opinion. Perhaps this year will be Krysta's year, though.
^Krysta has never even been nominated, so there is no overdue factor for her yet.
Carmen cusack, we all know she's not going to win and she might not even be nominated, but my gosh does she deserve a tony like no one else. Especially for a Broadway debut, go Carmen!

He won't... but I agree that he is LOOONGGG overdue... also... Sherie Rene Scott, Gavin Creel, Stephanie J Block, and Martha Plimpton!

I clearly meant overdue for a nomination, as Davie has never been nominated, either.
