Hi guys,

Tonight begins the spring collections for BCEFA. People can post whatever information about the shows that are participating, what they are selling + prices, and any other related info. I know some shows with opening nights that are in the next few weeks will start participating after they open.

Also, Add Chicago to the list as they were collecting donations for the cause when i saw the show monday. 40.00 got you a signed poster. Sister Act today sold signed posters for 40.00, a backstage tour for three for around 75-85 (can't quite remember), Holy Water for 5.00 and some groovy sunglass for ten.

I went to OTHER DESERT CITIES last night and the cast of five made a very nice speech (they each said a little about BC/EFA and the collections) that went a little beyond the standard "every year at this time, the Broadway community and theaters across the nation..." speech.

They were selling:

• signed Playbills for $40 (which come vey nicely wrapped in plastic)
• signed window cards for $60
• signed and framed pages from Brooke's manuscript for $200, I believe
• signed and framed storyboard from the commercial. I forget the price for sure but want to say $500 (they did say there were only three of them)

Additionally, in the last part of their speech, Judith Light said that they would not sign the front of any of the Playbills at the stage door in respect/as courtesy to those who are making the $40 donation to buy a signed Playbill.

I purchased the signed Playbill and window card and went to the stage door for pictures. By the time I was there, it was only Justin Kirk, Stockard Channing and Judith Light there, but they all graciously signed the inside pages of Playbills and posed for pictures.

Anyone know how long they will be collecting for? I'm making a trip in the end of April-Beginning of May and I would love to purchase some stuff this year!

Million Dollar Quartet is also collecting. They have signed posters for $60.

I think RENT has started the pictures with a cast member and signed playbills and posters. I think Avenue Q has started the same. They usually do a picture with one of the puppets. They have also done random auctions at the end of the show for backstage tours and I think a pic with cast members.

I wish Evita would sell posters and Playbills during previews. I'd gladly pay for a Playbill or poster and avoid the mob.

I heard a rumor that Best Man started selling signed posters even though they are still in previews. Can anyone confirm this? I'd run over and check but I'm out of town for a few more days.

Bettyboy72, Evita opens officially April 5th and there are 3 weeks of participation opportunities left for them to start selling. I would hope that Evita would sell signed playbills and posters during those last few weeks.

Priscilla is participating. They may have just started a little later than some of the other shows. As far as I know, they only have signed posters.

Seminar is as well. Not sure what they have.

Jersey Boys & H2S are participating too.

My friend went to How to Succeed last week, and they were collecting. Nick gave a speech encouraging people to donate, and Michael Urie came out and he and Nick auctioned off Nick's bow tie for $1000. They were also selling posters signed by the entire cast for $100.
