I fear this article is not happening at this point. Come to the Town Hall meeting at The Public today and we'll move things in the appropriate direction.
re "drop," to my recollection, it has been around as long as I have. Note however that it has taken on a different meaning in the digital era since theretofore the time frame was days not hours or minutes. I think of "release" as an externally imposed term in media whereas "drop" is internally triggered.
FWIW, I think the delay here has to do with vetting, source checking and verification, and comments. No cause for "fear." LOL All you are fearing is based on gossip.

Today is Gypsy of the Year for BCEFA. I feel it would be a very insensitive time to release any type of negative Broadway press such as this--given the overwhelming charity of the community.

I'm sure the NYT will take your sentiments into account.

I'm hoping that the delay is due to the reporter thoroughly checking sources and making sure this is responsible journalism and not a giant heap of libel. The reporter tweeted Friday afternoon inviting "theater folks" to report misconduct to him. It's going to take a minute to sort all of that out. My fear is not only the perpetually disgruntled using this as an opportunity to seek some sort of revenge against those they perceive to have wronged them at some point, but the possibility of people in the industry who have done nothing wrong losing their jobs- present or future- due to allegations and investigations that may prove to ultimately be unfounded.

What seems crass to me is the idea that allegations of sexual assault should be postponed so as not to put a damper on an event, charitable or not.
Pretty sure an exposé is always going to be inconvenient. Though I'm not sure it's particularly "sensitive" to hold it off until after BC/EFA asks people to open their wallets.

Just for clarification, when & where is the town hall? I haven't seen notice of that before, other than a brief mention earlier about the Public having a big meeting.
It's at 2 today at the Public.

This was the RSVP page... it's full now, but a little more info!

Ksilver117, the meeting at the Public is called a Town Hall meeting.
The Monday date has been removed from the Audition Update splash page (as to when they were coming back,) so hm.

These things take time. It's entirely possible the scope is being adjusted due to new information that came in over the weekend which could delay the publication or the lawyers are spending more time with it before going to press. Journalism isn't about being first to publish a story, it's about being the first to get the story right.
Apparently so much info was unearthed by The Times that it’s now going to be a series of articles

Mildred, if you have a source could you ask them to confirm that something is coming out today?
My source said it’s coming out today. That’s all I know.
Okay, thank you for checking.

I have to go to work soon but I’ll be sure to check the Times when I get out of work. My thoughts are with all the victims.

It's sort of fascinating that Michael Paulson is writing this upcoming article. When he was at The Boston Globe, he missed the Boston church pedophilia story. If you listen closely in SPOTLIGHT they mention how The Globe religion desk refused to deal with it, which is why it went to their special research area. I believe he is mentioned by name. (Paulson was the religion beat editor at the time.) Hopefully he will make up for lost ground with this opportunity (assuming there is some truth to all this.).
