How did Hamilton see a $250k drop? That's pretty substantial.
Chicago is doing well, overall.

Was this when a new block went into effect? They seemed to drop prices a while back, where further back side orchestra went from the $500s to the $200s.
Why the big drop for PRINCE OF BROADWAY's final week? Was it because this was an extension and MTC subscribers had already seen it? Seems odd to dip that much in your final week.
Perhaps some Hamilton would-be-buyers read the thread on here about how bad the current Broadway cast is apparently...

I dont think a thread from last week can effect the sales #'s of a show that's been sold out iirc

Deciding not to go to Hamilton just means the box office stays the same, and you get to make a profit by not attending.
Can y'all not recognize a joke?
Looks like Anastasia took a hit too.
The Band's Visit at 100 percent capacity in week three of previews is truly astounding. WOW.

I believe that there was an EduHam performance last week.

Yes, we can.
I guess we'll see if holidays and spring breaks are huge enough to keep Charlie and School of Rock open. Both seem to be dancing in the danger zone these days in terms of percentage of possible gross. Admittedly, I don't know how much either costs to keep running, and I imagine the former in much more danger than the latter, but...we'll see!

SoR has recouped so as long as they are meeting weekly running costs then they are fine. Charlie’s been on a downward trend though, so I agree there’s a good chance we may see a new show in the Lunt-Fontanne this Spring.

Hamilton had a special student performance on 10/25/2017--all tickets were sold to students at $10 each (with the Rockefeller Foundation covering $60 per person)--the gross for the week reflects the $70 per ticket price for all the tickets for that performance.
Future dates 11/15/2017 and 11/29/2017 in New York; 11/8/2017, 11/15/2017, 11/29/2017, & 12/13/2017 in Chicago; 11/2/2017 in Los Angeles. Future dates also in San Diego, Tempe, Seattle, Denver, St Louis, Salt Lake City, Houston, and Washington Dc.

Well, it's less than 9%, so not terribly awful - and of course, we now know the reason!
If a show recoups, that doesn’t mean it’s safe from closing. Yeah, sure they don’t need to make the investment back anymore, but man! It’s not like they are able to take 8 weeks in the red in a row and still be fine. I’m not too sure what the operating costs of SoR are, but I imagine they are on the high end with that cast of children.

Oh, wild, my coworker actually went to that EduHam show, and I even saw his ticket and was surprised by the price on it and he told me about a pre-show speech or something and I didn't put two and two together lmao.

I had the same question. It had the lowest avg paid ($51.29) for any show on Bway this week.
