Well, that's what you'd expect from a Weissler produced Broadway show in the long run.
I hope you meant that as a compliment because any producer that can keep a show open and people in work however they do that--then everybody wins.

While we can't compare the two, lest we forget that Come From Away started out this way as well. I've heard many good things about Spongebob.

There is certainly a disappointing amount of hasty generalizing going on here relative to Spongebob. I would not think there would be people here, especially regulars, who do not appreciate that these are the weeks in which producers work to build an audience for a show. Some succeed, some fail, but the illicit transference is ridiculous.

I was wondering the same thing.

As is your never-ending smug judgement of everyone else.

I don't think it is smug to point out that some folks who should know better are rushing to judgment on a show that is in its first week and has not been given an opportunity to see if it can develop a market. I'm surprised you do.

Spongebob should do well Thanksgiving - New Year’s Day when schools and colleges are out. The cartoon started in 1999 and is still running. That’s a large two generation target audience. A lot of the original fans now have kids of their own who they can take to see this.

Never. Stunt casting is helping for sure, but the show is not going to run as long as Kinky Boots, which has a three-year head-start on it. I am impressed that the box office went up as much as it did. I guess we'll see next week how much was due to Mraz and how much to the holiday weekend.

What is OOTI???
