Wow, their is not a single show that improved it's gross from the prior week :/
This was clearly a contest for which show would go down the least. Pretty bad across the board.
Wouldn't this be somewhat expected, coming off a holiday week?
Yikes.
Took a look at 2013 numbers for the same week (week after Memorial Day) and the numbers were almost identical. Down 6.6% as a whole, with numerous shows dropping > 10%. So, it may be OK to climb down from that ledge, and put away the sharp objects.
Hopefully in 2 weeks when summer is among us these numbers will look good again!

Understandable, summer holiday weekends, going in to the city to see a show is not high on my and many other's to do list. The beach, boardwalk, out on the boat, or a back yard bbq are. The next few weeks will bounce back, you'll see!

It's also a week where, for the new shows, they're still bleeding a not insignificant portion of their gross on Tony voter freebies.
NYC sees A LOT of tourists in the summer. Most shows do quite well during the summer(especially kid's shows) Not many locals(including myself) frequent the city in the summer because of the crowds AND the heat.
I'm still worried about Once. Their grosses haven't been good for about 2 months now. I wonder if the show will survive past Labor Day. And Pippin had it's lowest week to date. Hopefully things will only improve over the next few weeks.
I think pippin will improve during he summer especially with john Rubinstein joining the cast!
^Nobody knows or cares about him joining the cast besides diehard Broadway fans. The grosses will increase, but because its summer, not because of Rubenstein

Lol, he must have a HUGE family...

This week will be worse if history proves itself right. And that goes for Post Tony closings.
