Anyone know why Lucky Guy only played four performances? I'm guessing Tom Hanks must of had a prior commitment but that gross is still impressive,
Wicked must be selling large number of premium seats. 107% gross potential and selling at 92%

Hanks' son graduated from Northwestern this past weekend apparently. And performed at Second City!
Wicked is now selling their partial view seats for $112 and the rear Mezz for $115.50 as well. I get they can do that, but I don't see how anyone could afford that as more than a 1 time thing. Then again, I just wouldn't pay that much to see it again.
I think its fair to say MOST theater goers only see any given show once.

For tourists who have seen it on the road a rear Mezzanine seat, even in the Gershwin, probably still feels a whole lot closer than the cheap seats in a theatre like the Fox, so they probably still feel like they get a better deal.

Another great week for Broadway shows.
I'm interested to see how Mamma Mia! does at the Beoadhurst.
While other shows upticked after Memorial Day, Alan Cumming's play dropped 25% or so. Seemed like it was grossing well over 400k but since memorial day, only around 300k per week. I guess it is not a "tourist" show. (My daughter, though, said it was fantastic!)
it should be noted that Wicked did 9 performances that week.
Very happy to see so many shows doing so well right now. 11 shows grossing over $1 million. Vanya and Sonia.. doing excellent business. Very happy with these numbers!
AEA AGMA SM- Which Fox Theatre? The one in St. Louis? if so, I have NEVER paid more the 100.00 for a ticket to any Broadway show there and those seats were always the first few rows of the orchestra- still WAY cheaper and much better deal then 115.00 for the back of the Theatre at the Gershwin.

darreyl, obviously if you've been paying for the best seats in your own local road house then the rear mezzanine at the Gershwin will be pretty disappointing. But if you've been buying cheap tickets in the upper balcony at a place like the Fox in St. Louis then when you splurge on a vacation to NYC to see Wicked on Broadway and buy one of those rear mezzanine seats (because you're still being somewhat frugal, or that's all that's available, or whatever reason) you're still going to feel so much closer to the action in one of those seats than what you are used to from being in row V of the balcony in a theatre that seats about 5000 people.
I see your point, I just consider 100 dollars for the first few rows qualifies as cheap- but that's probably just me LOL
