"It Shoulda been you", "Kinky Boots" and "Hedwig" all had big increases. Coincidence or was it PRIDE weekend uptick was also a factor.

What made On The Town boost so high?

Pretty impressive week all around. Other than Chicago, there was really no declines (the few were well within a reasonable margin) at all.

Funny how Fun Home is percentage wise the best selling show on Broadway. Maybe all these numbers would look better in the houses were smaller. @OTT

mattporter, what percentages are you talking about? Not sure how you can say Fun Home is the best selling show on Broadway. They just sell the most standing room.

Maybe Pride Week - but also Kinky Boots started their summer schedule which adds one evening performance (Monday) and takes away a matinee...and I heard that Monday was packed...so maybe that helped as well.

Neon, I think what at was talking about were the number of people who attended. Fun homes max capacity for the week is 5,920, but 6,130 people attended or bought tickets or whatever. And their percentage was 103.5% which was larger than any other show.

^ Right, but all that means (anything over 100% capacity) is that they have a large number of standing room spots which all get sold. Not surprising for a Best Musical winner in a theater of that size, but most definitely not the most "well sold" show on Broadway. Mormon has been over 100% capacity since 2011.
Its the summer, people. These increases don't surprise me. Gone are the school days and here are the summer break tourists. Let's hope this is the beginning of a great summer for Broadway.

Are standing room tickets only available after the rest of the house has been sold? Or is it sold just like a regular seat?

Are we calling SR! an "original" musical now?

For my point about Fun Home, I meant it's capacity is at 103.5% which is one the best on Broadway. It is in a non-traditional house (no pun on the title) and it makes me wonder if it would still be above 100% if it was in a more traditional space. Anyways, I'm happy it's doing well, and I hope it has a long run.

FH is the best selling on a percentage basis; it is not the best selling in total bodies or total revenue. (Nor could it possibly be.) Stats are only fun (or complicated) if you want them to be.

Is SR based on an existing work? If it is, I am unaware of that bit of info.

It's a new musical, but it's far from an original musical.

SR! is a completely original story but it's not super original with what it does. It's a poor mans Mormon or Producers.
