Then you probably should've said "the opinions are the opinions" instead of "the facts are the facts." Yes, I disagree with your opinion that it was a bad year. My opinion is it was a great year. Loved Bright Star, American Psycho, She Loves Me, Eclipsed, Blackbird, Noises Off, The Father, and Spring Awakening, and most of them are gone/will be gone soon. (Of course some of them were limited runs but my point is I felt like there were a lot of great things I had to choose from all year and now there's not much over the summer.). Combined with the shows still running, that's a lot of shows in a single year I've really loved. And while certainly not everyone has to share that opinion, I'm fairly sure I'm not the only one.

Is that not a terrible number for An Act of God?

KINKY BOOTS may ask Wayne Brady to return this winter or another name to keep it going. Otherwise I don't see it lasting into 2017.

I've heard reports from some very out there sources who wouldn't normally be discussing theater replacements that they do have a name planned, but not a household name or one that anyone would expect. It's a very niche "star" who has never performed in the musical theater world (at least not since his success or rise to fame) but has a theater background and is very theatrical in his music. I wish I could share more but I am simply sworn in. Just putting out word that a name is being tossed around a few offices in Manhattan.

Same. I would've gone back to see that.

^ Its a good fit, and I could totally see that happening. Hell, it even might. But that's not the name that I've heard. Could be another potential one, though...

Friday night I was telling people who've put off seeing FUN HOME to go immediately. They are operating at a loss or close, and one suspects the summer advance is weak. I think it may go earlier than Labor Day if they stay well below $400,000.
