I was looking through some pictures on Foursquare, and I came across this picture that I found interesting... Do opening nights usually not have an intermission, or is this just something that Annie did? And why would they cut the intermission? Seems interesting!
That seems unusual. The opening nights I've attended have had early curtains, but have omitted the intermission.
Kad...did you mean have NOT omitted intermission? (I'm guessing it is.) I thought it was unusual as well -- oh so often there are technical things that must be done.
The thing that doesn't make sense is that they are definitely at intermission when that photo was taken since that red curtain comes down at the end of the first act, and isn't the one used in the beginning of the show. No idea why it says there will be no intermission...
Plus it would be logistically a nightmare to skip the intermission if that's how the show runs.
Perhaps they meant there was no break to allow for latecomers?
I was at the opening of Annie and there was an intermission.
Ha, yes dramamama, that's exactly what I meant.
Defyingravity11 did you receive that insert in your program?

Maybe it was just a typo that nobody caught and should have read "one" intermission?
