Are there any shows that you think should be revived? I thought about posting this since Cats is getting a revival (whether you like it or not)
Cabaret! Another revival! Run it concurrently with the current revival! In the same place! Two Cabarets at once!

Does anybody else remember when there were in fact two productions of the Chicago revival running simultaneously? My memory tells me Robin Givens was in one of them.

Rent directed by Michael Mayer would be perfect!! He's so much less superfluous than Michael Grief.
As this was not specific to musicals, I would like to suggest Look: We've Come Through by Hugh Wheeler. I just read it and thought it was really lovely. Also Vieux Carré and A Flea in Her Ear (probably the funniest play I've ever read)
I do feel like shows like Rent, A Chorus Line, Little Shop should always be playing on Broadway. I know it's not profitable, but there should be a revival house that rotates the classic shows throughout the year with Broadway caliber casts.
In what world are Rent and Little Shop of Horrors classics? So much for Show Boat, South Pacific, and My Fair Lady

Ok, Grandpa. Go yell at the kids on your lawn now.
I think it's funny how you either insult me for being 16 or insult me for being 116

I do not understand why City of Angels hasn't seen a revival. It's a great show. The music is a bit difficult (have to have some tight jazz harmony), but it really is worth remounting.
The Secret Garden
A Day In Hollywood/A Night In The Ukraine
Ain't Misbehavin' (seems like a no brainer)
Fantod, I gather than many consider Rent and Little Shop to be "modern" classics. Also, Jordan was being a little sarky...it's his sort of humor. Sometimes, you have to read betweenthelines. Peace. RC in Austin, Texas
Chess and Carousel
Camelot
70, Girls, 70
Candide (Caird version)
Fiorello!
Flower Drum Song (actual version)
A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (I'm working on a production of this right now and it is so freaking funny!)
Hello, Dolly! (with somebody other than LuPone or Chenoweth)
Lost in the Stars (what a score!)
Mame
Merrily We Roll Along
Once Upon a Mattress
Very Good Eddie
Also, I would love a revival of The Crucible in a few years. I've been dying to see that live for ages.
