Well. When I go to the gym, my Ipod's on shuffle and if something broadway comes on, it's not my fault--30/90 (from Tick Tick BOOm!) is fun to do some stationary biking to

Posted: 8/15/05 at 4:41pmI don't work out to Broadway songs very often, but if I'm having a day where I just really do not want to go to the gym, I find they are a bit of a movtivator. Listening to them reminds me of the business I'm going into and looking your best in this business is a must. That helps get me off my lazy rump and onto the elliptical.

Funny - I was just thinking about this today! All I pretty much have on my iPod are showtunes, and so I was trying to pick good ones to work out to.
You Can't Stop The Beat is the best - pretty much most of the songs from Hairspray - but the title song from All Shook Up is pretty good as well.

The absolute best is "Walk Him Up The Stairs" from PURLIE.
Followed closely by "Bless The Lord My Soul" from GODSPELL, "The Spanish Panic" from ONCE UPON A MATTRESS and "Rag Offen the Bush" from LI'L ABNER.
You'll be slim as a whippet in no time. Crippled, but slim.

Big Time - Linda Eder (I don't know what musical it's from...)
Then I mix it up with some Sarah Brightman and Lara Fabian!

Posted: 8/15/05 at 8:57pmYes, show tunes aren't the first thing you think of when it comes to work out music, but You Can't Stop the Beat for Hairspray and Strongest Suit from Aida always get me going!
