Hello, just a question. I can't say which play it is. But, a casting agency asked me to send an audition video for an upcoming Broadway play. I just finish my audition video. Is it bad if I add a word or flub up one or two sentences?

I'm editing it right now. I'll PM you it when I finish. Is it also bad if I put different footage together, instead of putting one takes?

Is it truly for a Broadway play? Or are you using the term "Broadway" to mean the show played on Broadway and you're now auditioning for a separate production of it? Either one is fine but I would say if it's the former, you need to keep doing the video until you get it just right. If it's the latter, I would say a flub here or there (IF it's pulled off naturally and doesn't disrupt the flow of the dialogue too much) is okay, but definitely don't put different footage together.

No, it's literally for a Broadway show. The tape is due tomorrow.

Don't cut anything together, and don't send in anything with flubs or mixups. Keep doing new takes until it's exactly right.

One, no it's not. It's your FIRST important audition. If you are really good, there will be others.
Two, you're audition tape could be perfection, and you might still not be right for the part -- never take rejection (Oh, that word.) determine future success.
Three, without seeing your vid or knowing what you are auditioning for, it's impossible to give you anything truly tangible.
