Have you ever been to a show where you noticed a blooper, if so tell us about it!
When i saw 13 a football rolled of the stage and fell onto my friends lap. We were in the front row.
I wonder if this has ever been asked before.
Three come to mind. My earliest was in Best Little Whorehouse in Texas with the original Broadway cast. The show had been playing a while already, but when it began and Carlyn Glynn (?) began singing Little Bity Pissant Country- she went up on her lines. She stopped the song explaining in her country twang that she forgot the words, and began all over again.
In Starlight Express, the second act stopped cold when the bridge began to fail. It was a very late preview, and when the lights came up, the ccast was evacuated one by one from the upper reaches of the set (to much applause no less). They finished the show skating in one big circle on the stage floor.
A late preview of Gray Gardens had the staircase enter the back wall after the action had begun and cast onstage-upstaging whatever was happening.
I personally believe there has never been a show where everything went perfectly. I always recall those special events when things go a bit mad!

It's not so much a blooper, per say, but apparently Levi Kreis is easy to make laugh, and Hunter Foster tries to make him break up during Million Dollar Quartet. Got to see it last time too, the whole cast kinda lost it LOL
Also, Justin Bartha busted out laughing during Lend Me a Tenor; it was hysterically fantastic.
A light fell down right in front of Ben Walker during BBAJ at the Public. He just looked at it like, Huh, and went on with the scene.
Manley Pope went "ALLISON" instead of "MUFFY" during the end of Rent and Trey Ellet just went, ".... Right."

LizzieCurry, I am sure this post is in no way an offense to you.
Anyway, Hmm.. I have only witnessed little issues. One of the vocalist during Donkey Pot Pie had a mic issues. It was on and off and took a while to return.
Someones cellphone made those obnoxious horrible sound interference noises during the lines "Maybe this is the kind of girl Warner wants..."
At Next to Normal, two characters were onstage alone, and the mics of the offstage cast were on. It was distracting, and lasted a while. It sounded like they were making fun of what was going on stage.
When i saw A Little night Music recently I noticed the door to the left wouldnt close. I guess it isnt a blooper but whenver it should have close it didint and sometimes you could kind of see between the crack.

Is Billy Elliot supposed to fall down while tap dancing during the big dancing clothes production number? He carried it off well and laughed with his friend.

When I was seeing Promises, Promises in August, the four men were just finishing their song "Where Can You Take a Girl" and they were riding their desks on tracks off stage right. There must have been some issue because the last two desks got stuck. At the same time, Sean Hayes' table was tracking on from SL. Kristin Chenoweth came on and the two of them tried to start the next scene, but when it became clear it wasn't a quick fix, the stage managers brought down the curtain and Kristin and Sean made an announcement that they would be starting back up again as soon as possible. It took about 10 minutes until they fixed everything and it continued. It was handled as quickly and professionally as possible and, while distracting, it didn't bother me in the least.
When I saw Promises, Promises, Katie's skirt got caught under her heel during the dance break on the bar. I was the move where she is in a back bend-type thing where Sean is behind her hold her hands. She tried to kick the edge of the skirt off her heel but couldn't, and they missed half of the dance moves. Neither Sean, Katie, nor the audience could stop cracking up, and Sean ended up having to squat and lower her down to sit on the bar so they could finish the scene.
When i seen the UK tour of Noises Off, the railings up the stairs fell off about 40 minutes before they were supposed to. there was a man and women on stage when it happened and the man just looked at the women and calmly stated "we're haunted...that's not even part of the show...are you scared? i'm scared!" and the women was trying her hardest from falling onto the couch from laughing.
Wicked in London, Glinda (Diane Pilkington) smacked her wand/staff down too hard at the cat fight scene and a severel jewels flew off it...I dont know if any went into the audience, though if i was front row, i'd be leaping for a lose one! lol

during The Guilty Ones in Spring Awakening Wendla's microphone rolled infront of the moving platform so when it continued to move forward the mic rolled down the steps

when i saw LB, during the first salon scene in act two, the greek chorus wouldnt come up through the floor. LBB and orfeh were ad libbing for a good minute "i hear the delta nus coming" "i hear dead people". it was so funny its on youtube. greatest night of my life
When I saw legally blonde, Laura Bell Bundy's wig flew off during the Bend and Snap. She covered it so well by picking the wig up, sitting down in the salon chair, and saying "Paulette will you fix my hair?" Then she stood up and said "thank you for coming to Legally Bald" and continued into the song.
The only blooper I can remember off hand was Geroge Wendt nearly falling into the orchestra pit during YOU'RE TIMELESS TO ME in HAIRSPRAY
During previews of the original Night Music, many of the sliding panels would often become stuck. The company were accustomed to a good pun and would sing, to the tune of the Night Waltz, "The screens won't move, they keep coming out of their groove'
One time when I saw the LES MIS revival, the barricade set did not come together properly so the house lights were brought up, the actors all ran offstage and an announcement was made. It took about 10 minutes or so to get everything up and running correctly before the show continued.
When I saw Tommy in Pittsburgh, during the big Dr's scene with young Tommy, some scientists/doctors rolled a cart with a bunch of test tubes, beakers, etc on and when they stopped one or two beakers fell off and broke.
It was really funny to watch a stage hand walk on stage with a broom/dust pan, and disappear behind one of the doors that was constantly moving on/off stage.
It was all pretty slick and I'm surprised I caught it. I brought it up to Alice at the stage door and she seemed surprised that I caught it.
- When I saw the tour of Hairspray in Boston a few years ago, during the scene where Link is breaking Tracy out of jail, Aaron Tveit (I think it was him) forgot the Zippo lighter. His line went something like this: "Well, I have a can of hairspray and...some hairspray!" For anyone who has seen the show knows that Link uses the Zippo lighter in combination with the hairspray to actually break open the bars so Tracy can escape.
In the video "Putting It Together", Carol Burnett's skirt falls down. She, and her castmates, had a big laugh about it.

That happened to Charlotte D'Amboise in A Chorus Line as well. Toward the end of Music and the Mirror, she kind of tumbled to the stage, and did a kind of roll to recover. If I hadn't been familiar with the dance, I would never have known it wasn't choreographed that way. She made it flow perfectly.

I remember that. Another night during MatM, Ms d'Amboise's skirt began to slip. When it got precarious, she ripped it off and flung it into the wings, continuing the dance without missing a beat. She made it look as though it was choreographed.

When I saw Wicked...about 8 months after opening, during one of the climatic scenes towards the end, Leo Norbert Butz slipped and Cheno and Idna laughed through the rest of the scene. As they kept giggeling the audinece noticed more and more causing more laughter.
