Guess they are serving clams for dinner. Makes me want to see Memphis even less.

I think I just got secondhand nodes from watching the end of Chad's performance.
To be fair, that note, when he gets it right, is awesome.
Eye-dina's arms are looking a little lumpy these days.
When I saw it, he hit the note much better, but didn't riff up the "lives" which is understandable. It was a rough performance.
idina just still hasnt lost her baby weight. she still rocks that song though, even though her voice has never quite been the same
Oh my, Eye-Dina!!!! Painful...
To be fair, he's a Tony Nominated performer singing for the President of the US on TV, representing 'the best of today's Broadway" Pass the cocktail sauce.
I was hoping we could escape the "AH AAAAAH AAAAA" ending for once.

She sounded fine. A little constricted but not "painful." She looks beautiful too.

I'm watching on the LIVE on Facebook page and the comments are astounding. Is everyone on Facebook deaf? They went CRAZY over Chad's performance and Idina's Defying Gravity. They were both a horrible hot mess!
I'm loving the less than subtle song choices.
As a pinko liberal I hate to say this, but I totally see why the right thinks Obama comes off with a "superior" air.
I had a flashback to the Clinton era: Clinton would have looked like he was involved in the performance and gleaning the greater message of whatever song being sung. Obama is expressions are polite but untouched.
Chad Kimball has always left Kalimba a bit perplexed.
Audra's voice is astounding.

Kimball was Broadway's best cow before Laura Benanti.
colleen, I totally agree. The people on facebook are pretty amusing!
I didn't think Idina was terrible, but it certainly wasn't her best.
Audra, on the other hand, is just perfect.
stephen schwartz in the audience :)
SRSLY, Nathan Lane?

I've heard Idina sing it better, but I thought she was fine. I was a little surprised she didn't hold "Me" long enough though.
Audra and Brian have been the best though.

Her second song sounds much better.
Almira, should the president have squealed like a fangirl after Defying Gravity?
Is Nathan Lane drunk? He keeps doing that Michael Scott awkward stare to the lower left.
This is a perfect song for Idina's voice these days. I'm almost sad I missed her concert Saturday night in VA.
this is MUCH better by Idina. :) and OMG do you SEE the size of her RING!!!! way to go taye diggs haha!
