It is my understanding that tickets are on sale for the Broadway revival of CATS, but little to no information about the upcoming show. I have not seen a cast list or little publicity.
Does anyone know when the cast list is supposed to be released? If the previews start in July, shouldn't it have been released by now and or rehearsals to commence?
Anyone with any information about the upcoming revival?

Most likely a silly casting choice of a wannabe actress who is actually a singer ?

Well, if previews begin in July, then rehearsals will probably start end of May. So, we've still got a little bit of time.
Anyone have any info on the length of the run? I will be in New York in early Jan and want to see it.

If you're referring to Nicole Scherzinger, she actually started off studying musical theatre at Wright State University in Ohio.

This new production struggled in Australia end of last year, it's lost the magic and wonder it once had .

Rehearsals begin mid-May. This production will have a lot of familiar faces/alumni from the tours.
Thanks for posting. I was wondering when they were going to put up the marquee.
I sent a picture of the marquee to my parents. They promptly disowned me...
...They hated the original (and the show itself) THAT much.

That seems to be the big question if previews start July 14th, where is the cast list?

Usually casting is released by the first day of rehearsal. They may not be in rehearsal yet.
That looks so sad and depressing compared to the Winter Garden marquee.

THIS marquee? How are they any different?

I believe that this new production will not be able to accomplish what the original was able to: I don't think the Nederlanders would be willing to gut the Neil Simon like the Winter Garden. That along with the fact that Cats was a product of its time, makes me believe that this production will not have the impact and magic the original production once had. But, you never know. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.

I miss Hawaii Kai.and the tropical campy drinks. I do not miss Cats
I think they were silly to not hold out and just revisit their first home at the Winter Garden.

Im sure ALW wouldn't mind. Plus, School of Rock won't last forever.
Has that flag pole always been there? Or is it new? Do shows usually use it?
