COMPANY - Closing Performance Stories — Page 11

I walked by the theatre last night (and to my suprise, I wasn't the only one who was there - the woman I sat next to at closing was there to see it dark, too!) and was totally bummed to see the dreaded "Company played it's last performance on July 1, 2007" notes on the door, even though I obviously knew they would be there.

To see the theatre dark and empty was very sad, especially because I walked around the theatre district for a while waiting for friends to get out of "A Chorus Line" and realized there is absolutely nothing else I'm the least bit interested in right now, especially with Grey Gardens closing at the end of the month.

Eh, I'm just a big ol' bitter broadway b*tch right now.

Whoa - sounds like there was quite a crowd at the stage door! I had no idea there was going to be such a frenzy.


Some guy rested his program ON MY FACE so he could get it signed. I grabbed it and very nicely moved it away. For all the insanity, stagedoor was fun, though.
