I already have a whole music video and dance planned out.

I would perform it- but -yeah right.

I'll do some drawings. :)

Hah....thats a fun dance mix! I kind of wish Johnny and Kooks had some bizzare bonus song on the soundtrack too, hah.

LOL, Marc.

I hope this makes it to the radio for a week or two, it's very addictive and catchy.

I'd be surprised if any of these songs were on the radio. Except maybe the Broadway stations on satellite radio.

OK Marc, I take that back. FOREVER! re: 'COOTIES' from the HAIRSPRAY Movie Soundtrack

B3TA07, I was only referring to "Cooties". In my opinion, it sounds like a song that would do well on the radio.

I dunno- When "RENT" was out, I heard a few of those songs on light rock stations every now and then. We may be see a showtune in the top Billboards yet....

re: 'COOTIES' from the HAIRSPRAY Movie Soundtrack

Aimee Allen is this grunge/hip-hop/punk vocalist in the style of P!NK and Joan Jett.
I got hooked on her when her single Revolution was the theme song for WB's short lived television adaptation of the Batman spinoff Birds of Prey years ago.
She had a record deal with LaFace or something but she left in an argument against them before her debut album was released.
It's a shame, she makes some good music, she's currently writing stuff with her bf Scott Russo from Unwritten Law.
I was really excited to see her on the soundtrack! Great cover!
You're reminding me of people you hear at the movies asking questions every ten seconds, "Who is that? Why is that guy walking down the street? Who's that lady coming up to him? Uh-oh, why did that car go by? Why is it so dark in this theater?" - FindingNamo on strummergirl

"If artists were machines, then I'm just a different kind of machine...I'd probably be a toaster. Actually, I'd be a toaster oven because they're more versatile. And I like making grilled cheese" -Regina Spektor

"That's, like, twelve shows! ...Or seven." -Crazy SA Fangirl

"They say that just being relaxed is the most important thing [in acting]. I take that to another level, I think kinda like yawning and...like being partially asleep onstage is also good, but whatever." - Sherie Rene Scott

re: 'COOTIES' from the HAIRSPRAY Movie Soundtrack

OMG, I freaking LOVE Cooties. Totally listened to it like eight times in a row while working out. Sounds like a Gwen Stefani song. Awesome. LOVE the CD....much more than Broadway.
"What the hell happened to you? You look like a Make-A-Wish Kid. You know, I just knew you were gonna bring shame on this new family of ours, and it just figures you had to go make yourself over into some heroin-shootin skate board chic on the only day E! could interview you!" - Cherry Cherry, on her daughter Mary Cherry

it's my favorite song on the CD.

I may have to look into this Aimee girl... :)

re: 'COOTIES' from the HAIRSPRAY Movie Soundtrack

for the record:

Aimee is no longer with or working with Scott Russo. She's working on her own solo stuff with me! But we're not dating. re: 'COOTIES' from the HAIRSPRAY Movie Soundtrack

She did put out a cd called "Scott and Aimee" which is available on iTunes.

Aimee was signed to Elektra records, not LaFace, and there was no argument. The label folded and dropped nearly all of their artists - even Tracy Chapman.

re: 'COOTIES' from the HAIRSPRAY Movie Soundtrack

also for the record:

when my dog got MAJORLY skunk'd the other night, Aimee took hold of the situation, mixed hydrogen peroxide with baking soda and scrubbed, rinsed and repeated like a woman possessed. If I am ever exposed to nuclear waste (a la "SILKWOOD"), I want that beyotch to be the one they send in to cleanse me!!

Thank you Aimee!
