Is it bad that I kind of love it?
I love it.
I rather love the incredibly tacky "HBomb" necklace
"I hope this is a joke"
That's how I feel about the entire movie.
I smell A Chorus Line type bomb

I feel bad for the kids who will watch this movie and think it's how Annie is supposed to be.
A near impossible feat: Making Cameron Diaz look ugly
A Miss Hannigan selfie.
Not that impossible.

Cameron has long been regarded as one of the worst actresses to see in HD, and not just because of her acting!
Cameron Diaz To Get Screwed By HDTV
Hear tell she is a bity nasty to her fans in public
"Cameron has long been regarded as one of the worst actresses to see in HD"
No kidding.....

Cameron Diaz always looks greasy and dirty to me. Like she needs to shower.
I thought that was Felicity Huffman for a second!
I don't understand how this is going to work without the Depression/FDR/prohibition. Also I kind of don't care.
From what I can tell, this adaptation of Annie is for people who don't already know and love Annie (the musical).
This is going to be nothing remotely like the stage show or the previous film and TV versions.
It's not that Annie. At all. Except for a shell of the plot and a few of the songs. Otherwise, it's entirely different.
My advice: Don't expect to be familiar with any of it when you see it.
I won't have that problem, because I won't be seeing it. It doesn't interest me. But I'm clearly not the audience they're looking for. I'm not sure who they think they're making this film for, but it's definitely not me. And that's fine.
Would have been funnier if they made Hannigan stuck in the seventies with a Dorothy Hamill bob or a Lee Grant penis head.
If they tried that, it would probably backfire, and she'd look like Javier Bardem in "No Country For Old Men."
Wait, what am I saying? This already looks like a backfire.
I really do not get what they are trying to do here... Annie is such an iconic figure. I feel like you can't really make so many drastic changes and still call it "Annie".

"You know what would be good? Taking Annie out of the depression and set in modern day where the entire concept of Annie will not only not work, but come off incredibly exploitative! Rich man taking in an orphan for 2 weeks for the free publicity only to drop her back off at the orphanage? In 2013? SURE! It'd work for sure!"

I'm a little obsessed with Miss Hannigan as a banjee girl. Like...I'm gonna get stoned and watch the sh*t out of this kind of obsessed.
OMG
Banjee girl! Yes!
Maybe they'll rewrite the lyrics to Little Girls as Banjee Girl.
