Do you think they could turn this into a broadway musical? And I just saw the movie, an dI don't know who the girl is singing Here's Where I Stand but she has an amaizing voice!!! I was also wondering what other people thought of the movie?
I love the movie. I believe the girl who sang "Here's Where I Stand" was in the Little Shop Revival with Hunter Foster as either Crystal, Ronette, or Chiffon.
No, the girl who sang it is Sasha Allen (I think?) and she was in bare off-broadway or in LA or something.
The girl who was in Little Shop is Tracee Beazer and she is one of the Turkey-Lurkey dancers in the movie.

thejcm - Sasha Allen played Dee who is in The Wedding Singer now!
Actually, Dequina Moore who played Dequina was in CAMP and Little Shop on Broadway. I have no idea who Tracee Beazer is-she wasn't in the original cast when I saw it or on the CD.
That's who it is, I'm so dumb, haha. It is Dequina, Tracee was the other Turkey Lurkey dancer and I always confuse the two.
Just to clarify:
Tiffany Taylor sang "Here's Where I Stand" and hasn't really been seen after CAMP.
Dequina Moore was a Turkey Lurkey girl and was in LSOH.
Tracee Beazer was also a Turkey Lurkey girl and was in Hairspray, and is now in The Wedding Singer.
Sasha Allen sang "How Shall I See You" and was in BARE and working in LA, and is about to go on tour with Christina Aguilara as a back-up singer!
See, shows how much I should read.
I thought the original post said "How Shall I See You." Sasha Allen did sing that one, haha.
Also, Stephen Cutts who also sang in "How Shall I See You" is on tour with Hairspray.
Tiffany Taylor needs to do something because god knows how fabulous that girl is.

Maybe if they worked on the script and made it...well, coherent. Don't get me wrong, it's a guilty pleasure of mine, but I like it more for how horrible and ridiculous it is. Hopefully it will just stay a movie. All the actors are quite talented. I just wish they had a better vehicle to get their breaks in.
may be an off broadway production.
The movie is good for a laugh, but its very flawed.
and where are the curses? a camp with no cussing? wtf!?

This movie was hilarious, in both a good and bad way! But everyone in it had such great voices. I loved the special features where you really got to see them rehearsing the dances and songs.
"you stole my make up...you bitch!"
from the movie
I believe that there were a few more
Yes, and they drop the F-bomb during The Women Who Lunch.
I seriously wanted to vomit hearing all those girls trying to sing I'M STILL HERE.
I want to vomit even more at the thought of FOLLIES as a children's show.
As Stritch said, it's just wrong when young women sing I'M STILL HERE.

It's a better alternate to High School Musical.
The only thing I didn't like was high school students doing Company. Ew.

ladyofthelake--I think that was the joke...
The movie has its moments, but overall it's pretty flawed. I don't think it would do well as a Broadway show.
I go to stagedoor (the place where it was partially filmed, and what it is based on) and I am leaving in a week for my three weeks there of second session. Wish me luck on auditions!
I went to school with Daniel Letterle
. And later on down the road when the local newspaper got word from his mom that he was in the movie Camp, I got the pleasure of interviewing him. It was a B*** finding out how to contact him since his mom wouldn't give me any contact information for him and when I did get in contact with him, he was happy to talk to me.

Can I ask what he talked about during your interview with him?
i with others that it would not make a good bway show. but i just love the music in this movie! and, as someone pointed out, it is a better alternative to highschool musical.
Whenurscrap, that's awesome that you went to school with him. i loved when he sang that song "i sing for you". so good.
