Just noticed that the entire week of the opening (9/16) isn't available for sale on Telecharge or TodayTix. It couldn't possibly be sold out for that week, right? Any other explanations?

There are no performances that week. I'd assume one of the actors had a conflict?

Not saying that there's a trend afoot, but in the last few seasons, we've had pop songwriters Jack Antonoff and Will Butler writing music for plays on Broadway, and now this guy.

Not saying that there's a trend afoot, but in the last few seasons, we've hadpop songwriters Jack Antonoff and Will Butler writing music forplays on Broadway, and now this guy."

I like the trend. Butler was successful. Antonoff’s best song from R&J wasn’t released; it was the party song. Hopefully this one’s successful, but it made sense with the people in the other shows. Corden and NPH don’t have pop voices.

Butler is a little different- he was brought into the process very early by Adjmi and Stereophonic really wouldn't exist without his songs. But there’s a long history of notable composers or musicians providing incidental scoring for plays.

$49 digital lottery and in-person rush starts this week.

Also, I don't know if this was formally announced or not, but all three actors here will have standbys: Michael Oberholtzer (2022's TAKE ME OUT) for Harris, Howard W. Overshown (last spring's GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS) for Cannavale, and Harry Smith (KING CHARLES III) for Corden.
