Corden's Bustopher Jones is the lowest point of Cats- and that is really saying something.
Although I understand people being tired by the same directors over and over again, Art is the kind of play that barely even needs a director. I would even argue that it is such a straightforward play to mount that the director should do as little “directing” as possible as long as the cast is good and the designers know what they are doing. Scott Ellis will basically be there to watch and be like, “Good work, team!”

I'd love to see three gay men playing the leads. Zachary Quinto as Marc, NPH as Serge, and either Jim Parsons or Brandon Uranowitz as Yvan.

Why is that? Just for sh*ts and giggles? I'm sure that many gay men have played these roles before -- but what would having 3 "out" gay men add to the play?

I don't know if it would add a lot or if it ultimately would be a good thing, but I could see some interesting character choices and line readings if they leaned into some of the stereotypes of aesthetically inclined gay men who have the high incomes to support their tastes.
All 3 are written as straight men and the play is kind of about straight male relationships.

Corden and Rebel Wilson gave the most annoying performances in the movie, but it wasn't necessarily their fault. Both of them were obviously cast and directed to "be funny!" when there was almost nothing in the script or direction to build laughs with. Casting a comedian and expecting them to do the heavy lifting themselves often leads them to rely on the most obnoxious elements of their comic personas (we see this with a lot of Josh Gad's Hollywood performances, too).
ART2025 does the trick!

Prices are reasonable, so far.

The last row in the orchestra is $251 with the code. The last row in the mezz is $145. First mezz row is $451.
That’s not too reasonable imo.

All seats in mezz and orchestra are from $74-$216 including front side orchestra. I'm looking at a bunch of preview performances. If you look at only house prime seats, or weekend prices post opening then yes, you'll find the most expensive tickets. Likee many regular theater goers, I never buy those. $74-$114 for non prime mezzanine in celeb play is reasonable.

Yea I was looking at Saturday and Sunday in November when we can make our next trip for this show being opened.

I am not denying that tickets are expensive, because when I checked these prices and saw how high they were, my first thought was "I can definitely skip this". However, as long as people are willing to pay top dollar, they know they don't have to do what Operation Mincemeat did, or what Maybe Happy Ending did, and discount/lotto off the tickets for their first few weeks of performances. They know the names alone will sell tickets, no matter the price.

Seems like there are more tickets available at a lower price than other plays with less star power in the cast.

I read the plot of the play and was not impressed. Maybe they're not sure on the lasting power of the show.
Ironic that a show about somebody complaining about the price someone paid, has people complaining about the price.
This an easy skip for me. I enjoyed Cannavale immensely in Here We Are. But the other two...meh.
