Carolee was fine in the show, but totally wasted. Couldn't they at least give her a song of her own to sing? The comments left on the show's Facebook page have been pretty nasty, especially toward Weinstein. I'm sure Matthew will do a fine job, but I honestly cannot see him matching or surpassing the outstanding performance Jeremy Jordan gave last summer in Cambridge, MA.
It doesn't make sense for her character to have her own song.

Didn't Grammar have a hard time with La Cage? So maybe it's better he has a smaller part.
Grammer's issues at the time had more to do with the tumult in his personal life than his ability to give a good performance. Remember that he was going through a contentious divorce for most of his run. His performance--when he was there to give it--was superb, as evidenced by his Tony nomination and great reviews.
There seems to be more harmony in his personal life these days, so I doubt we'll see the same problems.
I will say that Grammer and his performance in La Cage was all his own fault. He was having an affair with another woman and she got pregnant while he was still married with Camille. I have no one to blame but hmself.. THAT being said, He is a talnted person and I do believe he will do a good job with FN.
Another thing... Sometimes amazing performers (ie Carolee Carmello) will take on a role cause they just love the role and/or the show. Ironically, one of the most amazing talentes Christine Andreas had a somewhat smallish role in La Cage)

I have been browsing the arcive here from 2003-2008ish and Matthew seems to have been pretty well regarded around here. As late as 2008 some where predicting that he would recive a Tony nomination for his work in South Pacific. WTF happened? I think that he will do a great job in Finding Neverland judging by everything that I have seen from him so far.

GLEE maybe?

Have you seen the movie? Mrs. DuMaurier doesn't have that much screen time either.
Apparently Rita Ora (who?) mentioned that she'll be on a concept/pop recording of songs from Finding Neverland http://www.popjustice.com/thenews/rita-oras-next-single-will-be-called-testosterone-and-it-will-be-out-very-soon/132568/
