Barbara Cook played the role in the original London production. Buckley did Broadway.

Color me stupid, but is this "Carrie" the same as the movie "Carrie"? If it is, I can see why it flopped. . .

tz, yes it is the same. The one that's based on Stephen King's novel.

"NOT SINCE CARRIE" is pretty much my Bible.
Friday nights I read a new chapter and reflect.
BSoBW2, if "Not Since Carrie" is your Bible (and I feel the same way), will his follow-up book be a New Testament, or a Book of Mormon?

I'll let you know after intense study.
Who knows, it could start a new religion!
(I guess that would make it the New Testament, then...)

Is there still a place to find the music? I saw some videos on youtube but I would LOVE to hear the songs alone.
That link on the first page of this thread doesn't seem to work any more.
Thanks!

My friend runs this site... it's rather old and I'm not sure when it was last updated, but it's fairly comprehensive.

Is it just me or are the "sound" clips from that site not online any longer? I don't see them anywhere, only their descriptions.
That site also used to have the best photo gallery, but it's gone. GONE!!!!
I'm going to sit in a dark room and cut myself.
I'm really hoping Mandelbaum titles his follow-up flop book
Never In My Life....
Are you reading this, Ken?

It is such a fascinating show. I wish I could have seen it on Broadway.
I just re-read Frank Rich's review of it, very interesting review.
