I could hardly be more excited. This is such a bizarre fit for the Roundabout, but if the contained hysteria of her book is any hint of what's to come, I'm ecstatic.
It DOES seem that this would be better suited to the Henry Miller than Bye, Bye Birdie, no?

My review of her appearance in Boston. Absolutely fabulous!
She's been nominated for an Elliot Norton Award in the category of Outstanding Visiting Production.

I'm definitely catching a few performances of this.
Missed her show when it was in Los Angeles and will NOT miss her bit on Broadway.
For those curious ones... this is NOT Carrie Fisher's first appearance on Broadway.
She made her Broadway debut in the chorus (and playing a Debutante) in her mother's revival of IRENE back in 1973.
She was also in the 1980 Broadway musical flop CENSORED SCENES FROM KING KONG and replaced Amanda Plummer (as Agnes) in AGNES OF GOD (back in 1982).
