Posted: 12/5/13 at 3:14pmIt's all quite simple- no doubt they will have a scratch tape of the final dress, like the MET does. The MET actually had to cut to the scratch tape during a live telecast once for technical reasons. The scratch tape usually runs concurrent to the live performance so that things can continue with the flip of a switch. Remember, the current video of the 1957 CINDERELLA is a rehearsal kinoscope, not the actual live performance. These scratch tapes are also used in the production of a subsequent DVD release.

Oh, lord. Must everything have a conspiracy theory?
And I can't imagine that it being LIVE is really that big a selling point to the large majority, so really, what would be the point? Will this be a conversations, ANYWHERE?:
"I have no desire to see this."
"Oh, but don't you know, they will be filming it LIVE!"
"LIVE?! WHAT?! Are you kidding me?! Now I must watch it. And buy the CD AND the DVD, now that I know it's LIVE."
Ain't gonna happen. Either you want to watch it or you don't.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
