Oh, I do hope it's Mr. Tom Wopat!!!
I'm kind of flabbergasted that someone would be sad that Sigourney Weaver and Kim Cattrall aren't in this production. Now we just have to settle for brilliant stage actors. Harumph. What are they trying to do here? Make it good?! Bastards.
I already had my tickets, and these new names are delicious. I'm truly excited to see Terri White take on "Who's that Woman?" And I'd watch Linda Lavin or Elaine Paige do anything. Anything.

Well to be fair, Phyllis is usually cast with a recognizable name. Alexis Smith was a B list movie star without any Broadway experience. And she wound up winning the Tony.

That's not quite true LJay -- Dee Hoty wasn't a name at Papermill - Constance Towers wasn't exactly a Hollywood name either and she played the role a few times regionally.
Jan Maxwell is inspired casting! Please, let this make a broadway transfer!!!!!!!!!

So thrilled about Jan Maxwell!!! She makes me want to see this way more than Kim Cattrall or whatever name they would have ended up with could.

Jan Maxwell and Bernadette.......THAT is thrilling. I remember seeing Jan in that bland "Sound if Music" revival in the 90's, and the whole evening I was thinking, "who is the woman playing the Baroness?? And...I remember her having a pleasant singing voice.
Isn't Susan Watson the original Kim McAfee?? SWEET!!!
wow this is going to be an amazing production
I've heard that Jeremy Irons is a possible Ben but I don't know whether that is for Washington or the rumoured Trevor Nunn London production.
How about Marc Kudisch? Him and Jan together on stage again would be fantastic!
I think Kudisch is more of a Buddy.
He is but I'd take him any way I can get him.
Alexis Smith wasn't Bette Davis, but she wasn't a B-lister either. She had played leading roles with her name above the title opposite Errol Flynn (she did 4 films with him), Charles Boyer, Joan Fontaine, Fredric March, Jack Benny, Humphrey Bogart (2 movies together), Cary Grant, Eleanor Parker, Barbara Stanwyck, Clark Gable, and William Holden among many others.
I love that this show is being cast with Broadway names alone. I feel like this may increase the chances of a Broadway transfer actually as they may be less busy with filming schedules than movie stars would be.

Product of my boredom. Yes, they do already have artwork but it's pretty bland.
booky by. nice.
whoops.
Totally wrong for a Kennedy Center poster. There's no mention of Stephen and Christine Schwarzman.
Which booky will they use? The original 1972 booky or the booky from one of the many revisions that exist.
Im hoping the booky from the 2001 revival.

WHY???????????????????
OMG will they film this!111!!1!
KenCen films nothing.
I wouldn't doubt some crafty theater queen will sneek in her micro digi cam into one of the performances and film it.
Me likey the original 1972 booky...me no likey 2001 revisions...blech!
