Cast Nicole Scherzinger in a musical

There's a new video up on youtube of her singing "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" and she sounds great. She should definitely consider Broadway instead of trying to be the next Britney. What role would you cast her in?

The producers of the recent revival of Evita should apologize to those who suffered through the star casting and Elena Roger (though I was excited to see her and was an early supporter she really had lost her luster since London) and bring the show back with Nicole and Ramin Karimloo. They should have done that in the first place!!

She is great, but please no Ramin Karimloo, even Elena Roger and Ricky Martin are not as bad as the "constant above the actual note" singing of mr Karimloo.

While can't stand her as a pop singer, she was FANTASTIC on the ALW special. EVITA producers missed their chances with this one.

Nicole certainly did herself proud and showed herself to be a surprisingly good actress. Miles better than the mess that was heather headley.

If she could pull off 6-8 shows a week and handle the rest of the score i think she could have been a great eva, she has the hard edge to her and can dance.

Her and ramin would certainly make for a sexy eva and che.

She was the stand-out in RENT

And Lord Lloyd Webber clearly has the hots for her.

I met her a couple of years ago at the F1 Brazilian Grand Prix and she seemed so fake... I didn't get a good vibe from her at all. =S

I agree, WildCard. Saw her in Rent at the Hollywood Bowl a couple of summers ago while on vacation and was so surprised by how good she was. But not just her voice - she was funny! I'd see her in a show if the show was a good fit.

I was just about to start a thread about this! She was beyond spectacular, easily one of my favorite renditions. She'd be a terrific Eva! I think she could also pull of Aida. If she were younger they could cast her as Jazmin in the upcoming Aladdin.

I didn't enjoy her in that Phantom clip. However, she would make a great Mary in JCS. She's come a long way since "Eden's Crush".

The turning point for me with her came when she did Rent, I thought she was fantastic but she's followed that up with her Phantom performance and the Evita one. She's certainly got the chops.
I guess it's just finding her the right project, I do think they missed a trick with the most recent revival of Evita though.

Just by-the-by, I've met her at a few work things and she was very nice.

And Heather Headley's rendition of Memory was awful on the ALW show.

She was supposedly sick when she performed "Phantom" at the Royal Variety Performance. Still admirable.

Maybe I'm one of the few that liked Headley's performance of "Memory." What I didn't like (though I understand why) were all her facial contortions. If she was in Grizabella make-up, maybe it wouldn't matter as much.

She was amazing in Rent at the Hollywood Bowl. Blew us all away and really made the part her own instead of imitating those Maureens before her. I would like to see her do something new but I think she would kill it as Velma.

If they go through with the musical of Mean Girls I think she would make a great Plastic. 'Cause I couldn't really come up with a ton of ideas for the Plastics but I think that would be a really great role for her.

i always thought she should be cast as imelda in here lies love . she is part filipino. well maybe if it transfers to broadway.
