I'd love to see Anneliese van der Pol as Sister Mary Robert in "Sister Act" when it comes to Broadway. I think she could be absoloutley amazing in that role. I can see her sing "Raise Your Voice" brilliantly.

I vote Angela Lansbury for Mother Superior! I can totally hear her singing "Here Within These Walls". Plus, she's got the connection to Alan Menken through Beauty and the Beast.

Is this definitely coming to New York next season? It's closing in London next March to make way for "Andrew Lloyd Webber Desecrates Fond Childhood Memories", aka The Wizard of Oz...

Last I heard Whoopi said it's hitting Broadway fall 2011.

Sidenote: I also think Lansbury would have a ton of fun with Mother Superior.

Almost makes up for Love Never Dies if you ask me.

My vote would be for Leslie Krietzer for Sister Mary Roberts - and for Betty Buckley as Mother Superior.

"does she even have anything coming up?"

Although she filmed this last year, she is scheduled to appear on a Jewish version of "Sesame Street" called "Shalom Sesame," which will air Hunnakah 2010.

That's a pretty great dream cast, Zing!

I think Patina will be opening the Broadway production, but I think Jeannette would be a great understudy/future replacement.

that one has her as brooke, but everything else (like one other site) has her as serena. it doesn't even list a source though, so i have no idea if i missed the cast announcement?

That cast list is hilarious. And false, most defiantly false. I mean, Norbert Leo Butz as Emmett? Aaron Tveit as Warner? Caissie Levy as Margot? All Equity members in other shows who wouldn't do this show in this point of there career. Wow.

Obviously, that blog is written by a 14-year-old who is obsessed with the show. I would give real reason why each person won't be with the show, but he named Equity members that would be in a Non-Equity show.
