AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Sorry, needed to waste virtual trees.
This will be delicious!
Amazing.
Celia has sort of a round, childish at times voice, and I feel like she can grow through the entire journey until she meets her...end.

Posted: 8/26/06 at 4:09pmThis is great news!!! i think she'll be cool in Les Miserables. How long is the show actually running for on broadway?

Posted: 8/27/06 at 10:03amI hope we have a press release confirming this soon. I did listen to a clip of Celia in "Spelling Bee," and from what little I heard I agree she has potential to be a great Eponine if this is true.

With every cast announcement, I grow more and more sad that I won't get to see this.
I'm praying for a recording.

Posted: 8/27/06 at 3:50pmI hope that Kate Wetherhead replaces Celia. I saw her a few weeks ago and she was phenomenal. I doubt they would bump her up though, because she also covers Marcy and Logainne. Todd wasn't bumped up when Dan left because of that reason, but hopefully they'll promote Kate.

Posted: 8/27/06 at 3:59pmOkay, I'm really sorry for the dumb question, but . . . does this Celia have a last name? I've been through the entire thread and haven't seen one mentioned, which I think is kind of unusual around here. I'm not familiar with "Spelling Bee" or its cast, so I'm just wondering who exactly she is. Thanks!

Thanks. I was starting to think she was one of those one-name-only performers, like Elvis, but as far as I know that's not a common practice on Broadway!

Posted: 8/27/06 at 4:12pmI am not going to let myself get excited for this until I get a link but if this happens I will be depressed because I will be spending sooo much money going to see this for celia! :) She's amazing!
