Mira Sorvino is a classically trained dancer. I'm fairly certain she can sing too.

I'd like to see Cyndi in something, not sure if this is the one though...
I like the idea of Lea Thompson...
Maria could do it.
I was only thinking of blondes! What's wrong with me? How about Rosie Perez?
She'd be fun.
And we KNOW she can sing and dance and ACT! She's an Oscar-nominated actress, mind you...

It should close before that. Sorry Chris, but stick to movies!
I hate to say it, but I think Charity will close after Christina Applegate's contract is up. I think by having a "name" in the lead role at the start of the show was a msitake. I say that because now they need another big "Name" to fill the role, so they can keep bringing in the tickets. If they can't find another name to do it, which I don't see happening, then the show will probably close.
BroadwayStars had a blind item saying that it was pretty definite Molly Ringwald was set to do the tour..
Personally, I think Brittany Murphy would be AMAZING.
Most revivals use a name. If you're show has an old name... you have to draw attention somehow... a big reason we see names in Fiddler, Chicago, Wonderful Town, Charity, Cabaret, Annie Get Your Gun... you see the pattern...
Nikki Cox is dancer, but she's probably a bit young.
Murphy sounds like the most interesting choice to me.
Just out of curiousity, where has Rosie Perez sang before? I've never heard her.

i know she's been mentioned, but can anyone else see her in the role. her charisma seems just right for the part.

Well as of now on Telecharge.com, they are selling tickets through the first week of February, so I don't know if Applegate has extended her FANTASTIC run as Charity, or if they are going to replace her with someone else in early 2006.
