I think this may have been posted, but I can't find it so I'll ask anyway. Is Christine Ebersole on vacation this week?
Her vacation starts Tuesday. She'll be gone all of next week.
Crap! I wanted to go see her on Wednesday. I hate Passover!
well with that no longer an option should I go see Company or Talk Radio?

Did anyone read the piece in the Post about her vacation. They are saying she is "wiped out" and a little "nutty". I thought this was just a planned vacation. Maybe for rest before Tony voting starts.

"They" is Riedel. He is a little nutty and likes to stir things up for the sake of stirring things up.
Saw the show Wednesday night with Maureen. She does a very good job! Her Little Edie seems a little more fragile then Christine's, a little more unstable. She did however get bigger laughs during her dance in The House In Which We Live.
Riedel is such a troll. I wonder what his work record is? He makes Ebersole out to be so fragile. The woman has been doing theatre forever and just came out of a long winter run. She needs a vacation. Love ya, Christine. You're divine.
When I said "they" I was just referring to the paper.

Christine Ebersole is not nutty. And if she's exhausted at the moment--who could possibly blame her? If she was ONLY doing this role 8 times a week, it would be a feat. But, there have been over 100 appearances/interviews that have had to be done in addition to those 8 performances. She works her fabulous ass off.
I'm amazed this show doesn't have the same policy that is had for Christine in POTO or Evita--that she can't do more than 6 a week. It's an extremely demanding role.
You tell 'em Jerby! "The sisters are doing it for themselves!"
No one can blame her for not being as staunch as Little Edie right now She does work her ass off. I'm glad she's taking a break.
Mr. Riedel, may I remind you Bernadette Peters, as spectacular as she was, did not get rave reviews, only from a few papers, namely The Times. There was a lot of skepticism around her playing Rose. Everyone thought Winoker, though she was a tad sub par to Peters, would win, even I. Christine Ebersole has been praised in every single review written on the show, with the exception of Talkin' Broadway, (like that matters) is recieving quite a lot of press on TV and in print, and with the failure of Pirate Queen and the what looks to be medicore Legally Blonde, is in the show that seems hard to beat. (Lovemusik hasn't opened yet though. That could be a sleeper hit.) I wouldn't give away her Tony so quickly. Friends of mine, theatrically savy ones at that, have seen Legally Blonde in previews and found Laura Bell Bundy flacid. Ms. Ebersole certainly is not flacid. She is superb. Your article is a disgrace.

Looks to me like the Post is pissed that when they called her a kook on her birthday, nothing came of it in the community, so they're trying again. Not to mention the fact that she talks all the time about her kids- wouldn't they be on spring break right now? (I'm not sure, I just know that both places I work have been packed with kids all week, and Easter is coming.) What a perfect time for her to take a vacation! She may be exhausted, but I'm pretty sure any of us would be, too, if we tried her schedule out for a while. This is the woman who, thinking she might be late for curtain, ran 8 blocks from Liz Smith's limo to the theatre during Christmas traffic. She's hardcore.
Honestly, Riedel can get you for taking a much needed vacation and all that sort of thing....
...It's a mean, nasty, Republican newspaper...
Rosie O'donnell should be one.
