So even when I thought that I couldnt remotely possibly get into see THE WEDDING SINGER, I went down after lunch, which was like 10 minutes into the show and asked if their was any way I could possibly get a student ticket, but the ticket lady was a major bitch and turned me away until this man, who assume has something to do with ticketing told me, they had 1 student ticket left and I could buy it. So, I got my student ticket.
I entered the theatre right in the middle of SOMEDAY, which was amazing. Tina was so amazing in those first seconds of being inside. I had to wait for applause to die down to take my seat. I was in awe.
Stephen Lynch was HYSTERICAL as Robbie Hart, he was goofy and charming and all the things that made the character so appealing in the movie, his voice is expectional. He was first rate.
Tina is amazing, I had seen all these "I LOVE TINA AS JULIA.." "TINA MADDIGAN is AMAZING..." threads and now I truly understand why. She was brillant. Her voice was goregous and she was hysterical as Julia, she surpassed Laura on the original cast recording. If the rumors of her taking over are true then she'll be amazing.
Rita Gardner was so adorable as Rosie, she was hysterical during MOVE THAT THING. She was very energetic and her lines about Grandpa and her "special time" and her speech at the party were too hilarious.
Kevin Cahoon STEALS the show at moments, in full on Boy Geogre-esque mode, he is a comedic force of nature. He had me in stiches during "Geogre's Prayer.." I was near hysterics during MOVE THAT THING, he's just too hysterical.
Richard H. Blake was pretty awesome as Glenn. I knew him from when he was in Hairspray, I didnt see him the day I went, but had heard great things about him. He was jerky and rude and just a plain bad guy with tons of the 80's prepppy yuppie jerkness of the guys from 80's movies. "All About The Green" was fantastic. I knew he smoked, so if he smokes and still sings that well, its amazing. He was great.
FELICIA FINLEY! Linda is one hysterical character and she was amazing to a tee in the roll. It was so funny during "A LETTER FROM LINDA" in which she appeared in all 80's rock chick glory. Hysterical.
Amy Spanger was great. "Right In Front of Your Eyes" is one of my favorite songs from the cast recording and her preformance was nothing short of fantastic. She had such great charisma with David.
David Josefberg was HYSTERICAL! I think better than Matthew was on the recording, he was very funny and he nailed every number-- especially SINGLE. His hair was too much, it was a character in itself.
The ensemble featured Cara Cooper, who I loved from All Shook Up, apparently like most of the ensemble of All Shook Up and Wicked have so how graviated to The Wedding Singer.
At the stage door, everyone came out, {expect for Richard} but I met personally:
Stephen
Tina {Today is her birthday apparently. so HAPPY BDAY TINA!}
Kevin {in full on GEORGE mode}
Felicia {in full on LINDA mode}
Christina {Sideburns and Cyndi Lauper}
Adinah {Julia's mother}
Tracee {she played Crystal at my preformance}
I believe Cara came by, but I'm not sure, like half the cast was blonde, it was hard to tell.
I loved every moment of the show, even with constant remands from someone on BWW about how it was terrible, I enjoyed it.
CONSTANTINE was at my preformance, I believe, I went out to get a t-shirt or program and saw someone who looked alot like him coming up to go to the bar or use the restroom. I wanted to talk to him but when I turned back around he was gone.

"A Note From Linda"
sorry about my anal rententiveness.
I think Adinah Alexander is the only WICKED alumni...
Most Wednesdays matinees are sold out at TWS.
Oooh, I'm so glad you liked the show! And I do have to comment that it seems a lot of people I know who have seen the show think David Josefsberg's wig is a character all its own, haha!

Gah! Can't believe you beat me.
I was there, too (front row ROCKS, as usual). Yes, Constantine was there, scowling the entire time. T. Oliver Reid confirmed that he will be playing Sammy. Matt Saldivar was not let go, paid off, or anything else. He's taking a break to work on his album and other projects.
The show, as usual, is great. Tina has grown so much since she began. I have pictures of Tina (and her hair cut) as well as Kevin and Felicia in costume, that I'm uploading. They'll be on in a sec.
Glad you enjoyed the girl with golden hair so much. "I told ya so!" Haha
BTW...Tina's birthday is on Tuesday, 8/29. Perhaps she got some early birthday wishes.
PS Can't wait to see the pictures!!

Phantom: for you! (That tiara was given to her as a birthday present by someone I'm pretty sure posts here.)

I thought the costumes weren't allowed to leave the theatre.
Hmm, I guess they were really feeling their characters that day.
Did Tina make that big gold necklace?
I love her old lady pocketbook! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

They were doing a photoshoot following the show, hence the costumes.
Oh, and the best news of all? Tina finally has her own dress! Granted, the wedding shop dress was different from the final product, but it's a start!
Really? My prayers are being answered!!
Any idea what the photoshoot was for?

I think it was promotion. I heard Kevin say the location was "SECRET"

Awww. I'm defitnely bringing my school ID next time and getting tickets the "real" way.
I have to say, I quite enjoy the picture of Felicia in her costume.

Sadly, she is missing the most important part: her Linda belt!
