Congratulations Tony Sheldon!!!

Congratulations to the most wonderful actor I've ever had the privilege of seeing. No-one deserves to win the Tony Award more than him. He is beyond amazing. June 12th cannot come fast enough!

I thought Sheldon was marvelous, and hope he wins. I have a feeling the Mormon boys might cancel each other out.

He is a MAN - i.e., actor, not actress. And in my opinion, much deserving of his nomination- I for one hope he wins! He was absolutely incredible in the show.

You're pathetic. being rude to someone to has been in something like over a thousand performances and took the show from it's workshop stages. whatever you think of the show is fine, but respect for peoples HARD WORK would be appreciated.

Jodie W - I couldn't agree more. I first had the pleasure of seeing Tony Sheldon as Bernadette in Australia - I was so blown away by the show and his performance in particular that I was thrilled when it was announced he would play the role in London, my home town. I saw him 8 times more in London including a very emotional farewell performance. I always thought he'd get to reprise the part on Broadway too and am sooooo excited about seeing him again when I arrive this weekend There are few actors I'd travel the world to see - Tony Sheldon is one. He deserves every award and accolade that comes his way for this performance of a lifetime.

Sorry but anyone who loves acting and theatre can't say that he did not deserve a nomination. Im not a huge fan of the show but when i saw him on stage with it here in London i thought his performance was superb.

Chickfila should be allowed his own opinion though, as for Kalimba....well this poster is just around to be a annoying.....a bit like crabs

Exactly! His performance is touching, and memorable. I've seen a lot of Broadway shows in the last 45 years, and Tony Sheldon's Bernadette ranks among the most memorable that I have seen. In my review I cited Joel Grey in GEORGE M, Carol Channing (when she first did Dolly), Angela Lansbury as Mrs. Lovett (she was equally memorable in GYPSY), and Harvey Fierstein as Edna. They are performances that you remember for a lifetime.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion (I'm still recovering from the fact that THE LION KING beat out RAGTIME for the Tony), and perhaps there are those who have a favorite performer that they feel was slighted in this year's award nominations, but Tony Sheldon not only deserved his nomination, he deserves (in my humble opinion) to win the Tony.

I agree Nealb1. The London production was able to be much more faithful to the Australian orginial and as a result, overall it felt much more authentic. That said the Broadway production still has some wonderful things to enjoy.
