"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)
Damn. Would have been a hoot, but she clearly jumped the gun and embarrassingly so. For it to be rumored or tweeted about, sure, but to have said it on television twice before it’s even official....she’s messy.
And I will get tickets the second they announce a future date.
But wait, didn't she also mention it like two weeks ago on the local news here, awhile after they filmed the reunion. Probably just as well, her entitlement would've probably just annoyed me watching her perform.

My guess is she was asking for too much in negotiations or didn't want to do all eight or something. There is ZERO way she'd be any worse vocally than Nene/Wendy Willams/Sophia Vergarra and others I'm blanking on but know were rough.

She'd probably make Faye Dunaway seem like a walk in the park. :)

Actually, I think Sofia Vergara was good vocally, in this video clip. She certainly was better than I expected. Now, I don't know much about the first two you mentioned. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=20s2AYywNqY

her ending of the song was worse than Wendy Williams. Lol. EDIT: after further review, her vocals aren't terrible but hardly appropriate for the role she is playing.
Oh my god. I will finally be seeing CHICAGO on Broadway.
LuAnn is the Florence Foster Jenkins of our time. She’s ridiculous and I’m so excited.

Sweets, reps for her and CHICAGO have confirmed she’s not joining the show. As always, she spoke out of her a**. She was not at any time officially confirmed.
This sounds similar to what happened with Kandi. Her manager announced it way early, and she wasn't officially announced for many months. I imagine they'll want Luann as soon as she's available, which is why this says she's not planned to appear "at this time." As laughable as she is, there's no denying her cabaret has appeal (even if it's for the wrong reasons) and she would sell some tickets.
Good point about Kandi - she was announce a little over a month before she stepped into the show (Early December announcement, mid-January debut) and LuAnn’s um, “tour” goes until January 11th as of now. So she’ll probably join the show spring 2020, if at all.

And if they wait until the New Year, that'll likely sync up with filming of the next season of RHONY, which would be free promo for Chicago.

We could be a little less rude, no?
