This has been up on Playbll all morning. And just after I told my friend Broadway World always beat Playbill news...awkward...
Lots more detail on BWW article.
(I would say its about 1/2 and 1/2 who posts first.)
In case anyone's interested, they're workshopping the show early October through November, rehearsing for the Broadway production late January and still planning on beginning previews March 6th. The leads have been cast as of yesterday. Looks like it's still on track.
if Chaplin is gone by New Year's, maybe the Barrymore?? The Sondheim?? The Booth??
So who are the leads?

I heard a rumor a long time ago that they were eyeing the Helen Hayes (where Rock of Ages is currently playing).
The Sondheim is the current rumor.
The Sondheim is smaller? Huh?

@emma your terribly misinformed, second stage is taking over that theater and will start programming it next spring.
The Sondheim is bigger than the Hayes, the Hayes is the smallest Broadway theatre, but it isn’t huge.
The Sondheim is smaller? Huh?
With just over 1000 seats, The Sondheim is definitely mid-size by Broadway standards.
