Damn Yankees at Encores!

Playbill just announced that the summer Encores! show this year will be Damn Yankees. No casting as of yet. John Rando (Urinetown) is set to direct.

First thought wishful casting: Norbert Leo Butz or David Hyde Pierce as Applegate; Cheyenne Jackson as Joe Hardy; ?? as Lola. Any ideas?

I'm really curious who they decided to showcase using "Damn Yankees."

and this will be the one with FULL PRODUCTION like Gypsy from last summer.meaning the actors are not holding any book.

Why would you post you know something, but then not tell people what you do know? Better to just not say anything at all.

Anyway.... very excited for this. I love this show and I love the role of Lola.

I saw both. I kind hope they do the original version, but maybe there's something politically incorrect about it that I can't remember. Both made for enjoyable viewing, however.
