He’ll be fantastic!

I didn’t have a desire to see it again without Lauren Ambrose, but, this may change my mind...

Anyway this sucks. Now I have to go AGAIN, to see him!
"

I don’t think Bernstein taking this on necessarily means he’s not doing Moulin Rouge.... who’s to say this will still be running when moulin Rouge gets to broadway.

The article says "16-week limited engagement beginning Tuesday, January 8 through Sunday, April 28" so if MOULIN is still planning on a summer opening, he'll be just fine.

I can’t wait to see him in this role!!!
But yes I assume that his run in MFL is a limited engagement BECAUSE of Moulin Rouge. His last performance is 4/28 which would make sense if MR plans to open in the summer.

I didn’t like this production much when I saw it (no judgment on the people who loved it—different strokes), but I’ll be damned if I miss the chance to see Burstein and Benanti in it together in January. This is top notch recasting.

I agree, especially since they were in Boston the rumor was they were opening in the summer. I'm guessing he'll do this and Moulin Rouge will start late May/June

Bart Sher is really playing his hand right getting his past collaborators to come back to play.

I don’t think I’ve seen a show with such stellar recasting choices in a very long time

He's doing both. He's only in MFL until April 28th and Moulin Rouge doesn't pick up until the summer.

And last time I check, he's never left Broadway (or theatre in general).

I saw this yesterday and may have gotten a tear in my eye. What I would do for a Laura/Danny recording, though I know that's never gonna happen.

From what I've heard, Danny will be with Moulin Rouge, albeit in a beefed up role from what we saw in Boston (he's getting at least one more solo-ish number).

I was very so-so about this production when I saw it right before it opened. But the thrill of seeing Benanti & Burstein in those roles means I'll be buying another ticket. Well played, Lincoln Center. Well played.

Sorry, what I meant was that I'm glad Moulin Rouge! won't be his first time back on Broadway since Fiddler on the Roof, and something a billion times more exciting like My Fair Lady will be instead.
