Don't know how DEH is doing it, but Ham made the ticket sitters go inside the theater. They wouldn't let them sit and buy both for someone else. Ergo, they kind of dropped off."
Unfortunately, DEH lets them get two tickets and give them away. The first line sitter went in to get a single, which was the first thing that was released, then was able to get back in line and wait for the next ticket as well. The first two line sitters were working for the same family, and they gave their four tickets to two parents with their two toddlers. Which is cute, but also...why are you taking your toddler to Dear Evan Hansen? A babysitter has got to be less expensive and let's be real, that kid is not gonna remember that show.
I know I'm being all negative and in truth I love this forum I've gotten a lot of tickets with its help, so thank you everyone for keeping us all updated! I've just suffered a bit of a disappointment and I feel really bad for my little sister, who probably won't see Ben before he leaves, but do take my negativity with a grain of salt :)
I was searching for a picture during the week but there are a few different venues that pop up and I was unsure what one was the correct one that did have a good head on view. It's a nice smaller cosy theatre, bit like some of the older ones used for plays in the West End.
I haven't posted on here in awhile but wanted some advice from you all. I am a high school student and want literally nothing more than to see Ben Platt in DEH before he leaves. I saw the show back in June, but was devastated when I found out Ben was sick. Colton Ryan was still phenomenal, but seeing Ben would literally be a dream come true. With my busy schedule during the week, this limits me to only be able to possibly see the show on the weekends. I was wondering if any of you had any advice for me to try and get tickets? I've tried the lottery countless times but that doesn't seem very promising. I have a free during school during about the time the wheelchair seats are released and was going to try the four day rule. I'm trying to stay under $250 per ticket. Thank you all so much for your helpful posts on here! Please let me know if you have any tips.
You seem really well informed, so there's not a lot to add. Consider asking all your friends who you can talk into going with you to enter the lottery. More chances won't hurt. I've done this for friends and actually enjoyed the fun of a potential outing. It never hurts to ask and give it a shot.
Heads up, there are two premium seats available for tomorrow night (Wednesday 10/25). Orchestra F 108 and 110 for $399 each. They are separated by one seat, so you have to search for singles and probably purchase separately if you want both.
What do you think the likely hood of waiting for cancellation tix is nowadays? What time should I get on line? When are cancellation tix usually announced? Are there "cheap" seats (under $200) usually available on the line, or only the $400+ "premium" seats available?

Nice idea! Thank you! If anyone has any other tips please let me know!

How many tickets do you need? You need to see Ben or anyone in the role?

Thanks for sharing the pic CT2NYC, I've been following this thread for a few weeks, when I found out I may be going to NYC in November the weekend Ben closes. I never thought I'd be there, but now I am, and have three different options for shows, and have been looking constantly, hoping I'll get the opportunity to see him end his run. I wanted to say thanks for all the helpful advice you've provided!
I've been looking for one ticket for the final Thursday, and Saturday performances, any of those three. My preference would be the Thursday night show, or the Saturday matinee. But I'm looking at all three on telecharge and StubHub.
Plan to look four days in advance as well, and do the lotto for Thursday, if I find nothing, and then wait the cancellation line at worst case scenario for Saturday.
I do have one question for you CT2NYC... am I wasting my time by searching telecharge already for November 16th Evening, November 18th Mat &I Evening performances already?
Thankful for all of your help in advance oh ticket whisperer... ???? ?? "
Box seats are sold directly through the box office. The last I heard, they were holding them back almost exclusively for lottery, but it wouldn't hurt to ask for future sales.
I asked about box seats for future sales back in the first week of September (was looking for February tickets) and they said they were only through lottery. Just got regular rear mezz instead.

I search for advance tickets every day. Although the 4-day rule is pretty much like clockwork at this point, advance ticket releases can be pretty random. Last month, there was a huge dump of non-premium tickets for Ben's 2nd to last week. Granted, it was probably because he was originally scheduled to leave on 11/12, but it showed that you never know how many seats are being held back at any given time. If you're considering paying reseller prices, and want to avoid StubHub's 25% fees, you might want to check out TickPick, which doesn't charge any fees. I hadn't heard of them until earlier this month, but it looks like they're pretty reputable.

Interesting, cause I have a friend who saw the show in a box and bought the tickets a week before the show from the box office. This was a few weeks ago.

Was it for a Ben performance, or a Michael Lee Brown performance?

HUH, sounds like it doesn't hurt to ask then! How much did they cost?

$69 a piece because they were listed as partial view

Or perhaps wheelchair patrons and their companions bought all those seats already. Most of the seats released in the 4-day rule tend to be unsold wheelchair accessible/companion seats.
