Anyone know if a rush or lottery policy was established?
Nothing official has been announced that I've seen (neither on the show's website or on social media). I'd imagine they'd wait until after previews. Or at least until after the first few.
Just announced in a press release that a digital lottery will begin the first performance after opening (December 6).

Has anyone been able to find it?

No official announcement on their Twitter yet, but... http://dearevanhansenlottery.com/ is live. Social Toaster lottery (which I kind of hate); $40 tickets.
From the site when you click to enter: "Matinee winners will be notified by 10:05 AM and must purchase their tickets online by 11:00 AM. Evening winners will be notified by 3:05 PM and must purchase their tickets online by 4:00 PM. Seats may not be located next to one another and locations may be partial view."
I'm seeing "Oh Hello" tonight so not actually entering, so I am not 100% positive if the site is working, but I got as far as I can without hitting "enter."
I entered the lottery with no difficulty. It's working.

Oh perfect! I also entered, no problem. Thanks!
Glad to know it's working. (I guessed at the URL based on the other digital lotteries for Shubert theater shows.)
It's really weird that none of their social media accounts have mentioned it (and I don't see it on the main site either), considering it was previously announced that they'd be starting it today. And the window closes in less than 3 hours now.

You guys should be ecstatic that there are no social media announcements. Better chance of winning yourselves!

I lost as well. I'm thinking they didn't hold back many seats for this, and I'm thinking lots of people found the link, as it's really the only discount they have for the show for right now.
I love that the press release says this launches tomorrow. I wonder if anyone won today.

I assume everyone who entered today lost. It clearly was setback to tomorrow as it was not announced until later in the day when the lottery entry period had closed. Try again tomorrow.

I think tonight and tomorrow will be great times to try SRO...

I was able to get a standing room ticket on Tuesday night about 40 minutes to curtain. Fantastic view and a lovely stranger offered me their orchestra seat that they were vacating at intermission.

Was there a line when you tried to get standing room? And how many seats did they sell?
If anyone HAS won the lotto, I'd love to know where the seats were. Also, yeah, any more info on SRO would be great.
I did not win on Wednesday. At The Color Purple that night, person seated next to me said there were only six tickets available in the lottery

There was a line line at the box office, but it was primarily for will-call and the house manager began announcing "no advance sales" while I was at the window. I imagine people weren't fully aware of SRO as an option, hence the ticket being available. I was the second spot from the aisle. Another person filled the aisle spot about ten minutes to curtain so the two of us probably got the last two tickets. I believe only the center orchestra section was used for SRO and that there are 10 spots. Don't quote me on that though.
Hey, would it be wise to buy tickets in the last row of the Music Box? How's the view?

It's a great view - don't hesitate to buy them. The last row or two there is where I almost always sit when I'm seeing a show there.
