There is no such thing as the next Carol Burnett. Entertainment has changed so much since her time. Carol Burnett is in a class of her own, and television today won't allow a second one.

Of course times have changed, and if you saw Amanda, you would realize she has updated sketch comedy by doing today's characters
and comedy, like Angie, the Trucker. Amanda has all the talent of Carol and the hits on the net to prove her appeal, with over 800,000 hits in comedy sketch alone. Amanda has broad appeal in all age groups. AND CHECK THOSE PRETTY EYES!

Carol Burnett is an anomaly today- the wholesome, family-friendly comedian-actor who blends comedy and music together into one career. It can't happen anymore because the variety show format is done, as is the "standards" market, making "character" performers who sing other people's songs much harder to establish.

Ironically, there IS a performer who is almost like the above... Seth McFarlane.

800,000 people who viewed Amanda in one sketch can't be wrong, can they? We should celebrate a new talent, and be happy about such a discovery. Shame on jealousy. I'm sure Carol Burnett loves new comedy talent, and would cheer for Amanda to carry on.
Someday, I hope they meet. I would be the first to cheer.

And of course you have to ask of those 800,000 how many actually liked it, how many actually watched it through to the end (I'm not sure if that has any effect on the hit count), etc, etc.

It'very diffiult to grab 800,000 hits without appeal. Have you tried it? Nearly impossible with millions of videos on the net. Let's see you video.

Update on "Music Store" and "Magog" the sci-fi rock opera.

MUSIC STORE: All basic music composition for the 16 original song score, done. All lyrics, done. The book, completed. So what am I doing now? I am completing all the arrangements for the songs. Arrangements entail final selection of instrumentation, digital and analog, arrangements of the songs including backup singers/choirs, recording all songs on my Yamaha XS and a 24 track recorder. All that is a 6 month job.

"Music store" is definitely different than most musicals in that nearly all the songs are written with original modern rhythms requiring advanced drumming and percussion technique, instrumentation selected from 3000 instruments (on my customized Yamaha XS), very original chord progressions.

My goal for every song in the show is a singable, danceable, humable tune, even the dialog songs - all done with modern rhythms: hip hop, funk, Urban, techno, shuffle, etc. What else? It's a real music store on the South side of Chicago.

RE: Magog, our sci-fi rock opera. I tried to recruit a synthesizer specialist to help me with the arrangements for Magog, without success. It looks like I'll have to do it all by myself. "Magog" is based on the music of the acclaimed art rock band of the 70s called Gabriel Bondage. This show has beautiful music. Can't wait to dive in. I will be employing state of the art software instruments like, Omnisphere, and KarmaFX. The whole show will be done with two synths, two guitars, and a drummer, playing live. It is a sci-fi rock opera with lots of costumes and staging. Danny D'

The answer is for 804,000 hits, if the sketch was viewed in its entirety, it would take 67,000 hours, Currently, the sketch has 620,000 hits on Metacafe, 140,000 on Youtube and 44,000 hits on break.com. This data is only for one sketch for Amanda.
