re: For Good

Ok. So I just saw LITTLE WOMEN here in FL. Guess I missed "For Good."
Anyone in Florida or this dangett time zone know what time WICKED came on the telethon? I Tivo'd since 7am, taping till 2pm. So far, no crazy WICKED on what taped. I think I know I should have Tivod UPN/PAX/Comedy Central .. some other channel.

Ignorant, but annoyed I tried to catch Ana.

re: For Good

Hmm. Just replayed my tape of For Good from this morning. I liked Kate, but Ana sounded almost too loud and gruff. That's weird to me too, considering the last time I heard her singing DG and NGD I thought they could've sounded more like that. Oh well, still a decent performance considering everything. I like how they don't just hug at the end, they act awkward and then get to it; it's cute:) I still love Stephanie's Elphaba the best thoughre: For Good

Also-those people reading the telepromter in the intro! HAHA!
"...how one becomes the Wicked Witch of the West..."
*long pause, cohost finally smiles and chimes in*
"...and the other becomes...Glinda..."
"So here Ana Gasteyer...and...Miss Reinders..."

Hehe.

re: For Good

hmmm i totally missed it. Is it on any link anywhere yet?
Kristin Chenoweth could barely control a Great Dane she trotted onto the stage. "Great, they gave me a dog that weighs five times what I do", she quipped. For the record, she weighs 93 pounds, and has a Maltese.

re: For Good

I have not yet seen 20 minutes of good material. When did that happen?

re: For Good

I couldn't get past how old Ana looks and how awful the make-up job was.

I hope she doesn't come across as that old on stage.

re: For Good

Well, I could see how Ana brings some maturity at the end, which Elphaba should have. When I saw Idina and whenever she did TV, because of the airbrushed makeup, it looked much more "nautral," if that makes sense. Her face was beautifully contoured with a deep purple. It looked like Ana had on the green pancake makeup that you can only get at halloween. And I was not overly impressed with the vocals, but I have heard nothing but good things about her. I am sure it was just an off morning.
Idina: This is called a kielbasa! Pianist: It's called a 'KA-basa'... Idina: It's called a kabasa? Oh, a KIEL-basa's a sausage, isn't it? I CAN PLAY THAT TOO! HULLO!!

re: For Good

Just thought I'd throw out there that Ana does NOT look old when she's on stage. She's totally cute. Plays young E very jittery and insecure. Older E is beautiful.

And she sings beautifully. (No screaming!)

Anywhoo... just thought I'd add that. Anybody got a link of it up yet?

re: For Good

True: Keep in mind how EARLY they had to get up to put on makeup etc. No one ever should wake up that early to sing, becaues no matter what your vocasls will be bad.

re: For Good

were any of these on within the first 4 hours?

re: For Good

It sounded to me that singing so high in her chest voice 8 times a week may have damaged Ana's voice. Perhaps she just isn't a morning singer. I have the same exact gruffness that she had when I am losing my voice.

Did anyone else notice that whenever they cut to Ana when she wasn't singing she did the, "Nod and swallow tearfully" thing?

Those hosts in chicago are idiots. "The wicked witch. Of the west."
-Was that a fart?
-My fault, I fear.
