re: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels Closing 9/3

Wow, I didn't expect this to happen so soon. I'll be seeing the show on tour early next year, but right now that offers little comfort. re: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels Closing 9/3

I will miss you DRS! But really, it was such a fun show with a GREAT cast, and it is sad to see it go. Best of luck to the cast!

So, since Lucie has injured herself, will she even be back for the final performance? I would hope she would.

Whoa. I was not expecting this. Not so soon, anyway. re: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels Closing 9/3

Awww, it's too bad it's closing. I was lucky enough to see the original cast and then Jonathan Pryce. Happily, they're coming to the Tampa Bay area this fall so I can see it again. It's one of my favorite shows....

I too like Great Big Stuff!! :)

Not many of the major DRS fans have popped in, have they?

This news makes me very sad.....I love this show! I saw the OBC and I get to see the tour next Wednesday.

It would be interesting to see it tonight in NY or LA....I wonder how the cast feels (even NLB)...wonder if they'll work in any ad libs referencing this very sad news?!?

re: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels Closing 9/3

I still maintain that it's the best show on Broadway. Sadly it ended for me when Greg and the other guys left, and apparently that was true for a lot of other people as well. It had a good run - but it should have been even better. It's very sad news.

re: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels Closing 9/3

my jaw dropped when I saw this. Wow. I can't believe "so soon". Though, it's "so soon" for me because I just got to see the show for the first time in April of this year (seen it 5 times since!). I still can't believe it's closing. I'm really upset about this!

I was so excited to see it was performing at Broadway on Broadway too! ahh!

No, alliez92092, it's not crazy that you are feeling so sad that you could cry. I AM crying and I'm not ashamed to admit it re: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels Closing 9/3 I was hoping that the fact the threads kept getting deleted earlier today that it wasn't true. I prayed. But...

DRS *and* SWEENEY TODD in one day... and yes WEDDING SINGER may not- and probably IS not- far behind... and that makes me even MORE sad re: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels Closing 9/3 *sigh*

I knew this would happen when NLB left

mamie i couldn't agree with you more. by far DRS is my favorite show i have ever seen. the cast was wonderful. it had a good what 2-3 year run (including san diego/workshops) i wish the cast best of luck, hopefully i'll get to see you all in other shows. and yes mamie i too agree when Greg left, the show ended for me. i love Sherie and Sara but it's not the same without Greg. what's next for the imperial theatre?

re: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels Closing 9/3

MB, I was just about to ask if they could put an embargo on a closing notice. I guess that answers my question.

I saw the show last weekend and thought it was still in pretty good shape.

re: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels Closing 9/3

I'm so heartbroken. I am a general fan of many Broadway shows and have seen many but this was easily my favorite! I'm glad I got to see this show a few times but I will miss it so much.
I hope I'm not the only one who feels like crying her eyes out!
At least I have my memories and tons of photos with the cast. I'm so happy I got to see it (a last time) last week.
