"Drew Seeley is starring on Broadway in Disney's The Little Mermaid through August 30. The musical includes 10 new songs, in addition to the classics you know and love from the animated film. As Prince Eric, Drew sings the new ballad "Her Voice" in the show. This special pop version of the song is available here exclusively for a limited time as a free download. Enjoy the music, and come see Drew live on Broadway in New York City this summer!"

After hearing this, I will wait until he leaves the show before seein it.
...I'm assuming it doesn't sound anything like this in the show, does it?
So they changed the arrangement for the show? This will now be a fangirl show...oy vey.
this sounds so so bad. oy.
Its sounds awful.
This is horrible! It sounds like porno music.

This is the most wretched thing since Eden Espinoza.
(Though Tony Braxton's lowered, soulful "A Change In Me" comes close.)
"Artists are always on the vanguard of change: they give the community a vision."
"Desire comes from the Latin "de sire", or "of the father", or "of the stars". We want what is magical, what is out there, what is of the stars. And so our characters should as well."
"If there are people who don't believe in you, don't hang out with them. Wish them well, wish them peace, and move on."
Wtf. This sounds like a Disney Channel version. It is all pop-ified
I used to like that song.

I couldn't even finish listening to it.
I didn't even get to the chorus. It went "crappy intro (then) There's a gi-" and I hit the big red X
Were the Jonas Brothers singing backup?
That was really bad.

...and I was looking forward to hearing what he actually sounded like in the show.
That was like "High School Musical: Under The Sea!"
Wow. Way to show off his inability to SING that song at all. This guy is on Broadway?
Oh boy...I am...so...excited...
That was terrible.
So they changed the arrangement for the show?
I can't say for sure, because I haven't seen the show since he took over, but my guess is no. This is just the "pop version" that they released. He probably sings the original arrangement in the show.
That was one of the most wretched things I have ever heard. He doesn't even sound good with all that electronic help.
I really thought all of you were over-reacting and just baselessly being harsh.
And then I listened to it. Wow. I think I'll have to go with BroadwayBenny and agree with "wretched." I hope Alan Menken cried over this.
Won't the tweens be severely disappointed when they go and see the show and the song is sung in a different arrangement? How is this advertising the show?
I'm guessing this is a version for DisneyMania. Sounds like it is, doesn't it??

Drew sings the original version in the show, not this one. He's definitely the WRONG person to play Prince Eric. I can't wait for Sean Palmer to come back.
Didn't we expect this? Disney always has to invite Disney Channel "stars" to be in their shows. Sometimes good, sometimes Drew Seeley. I was listening to Radio Disney a couple weeks ago just for fun and heard a commercial with Drew's voice saying "Hey, I'm High School Musical's Drew Seeley. Come see me in The Little Mermaid on Broadway. The show has lots of cool new songs, with some written for my part, Prince Eric. Being on Broadway is lots of fun..." blah blah blah or something like that. I almost threw up.
I don't get why he is even considered famous, Disney will NEVER publicly say that he was Efron's singing voice. Like anyone who saw the tour of HSM thought they weren't seeing Efron.

That was absolutely terrible. I was thinking of seeing the show again with Faith Prince, but not THIS summer if I have to listen to that boy attempt to sing.
