If they’re closing, why such a big celebration over ten years on broadway? It seemed to me like they were really trying to promote the show.
Are they supposed to pretend 10 years never happened? A celebration of milestone shouldn't stop from happing just a show may close after the fact, unless it announced a closing prior to making it to 10 years.

I heard it has been re-posted to say that it is for an Usher position for Aladdin. Not sure if it is another job posting though.
Just give the world Love.

That is correct! The new wording has been updated!
Usher at DISNEY (disneycareers.com)
You need to remember that "Newsies" was becoming increasingly difficult to cast at a Broadway level, and buy closing it would continue generating substantial revenue for Disney, especially through regional and school productions. Aladdin, which is built specifically for the New Am, continues to thrive.
Bringing in over a million dollars per week and proving to be a massive hit with foreign tourists.
It's clear that Aladdin isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
Maybe it's just me but I noticed ushers at the New Amsterdam theater tend to be younger (20s) when compared to other theaters.

In addition to the 10th anniversary, Michael James Scott is currently on an international trip for GMA touring foreign productions. I also suspect a cast change is imminent after the tour closes in May since Adi Roy is in all the 10th anniversary marketing materials. So I don't think the show is closing anytime soon.

Calm down everyone. You’ve got it all wrong.
the Disney theatrical office is at the New Amsterdam. Above the theatre. This is advertising a job based working at the OFFICE there. Aladdin ain’t closing anytime soon, sadly.
Also the plan is for Hercules to open In London at the end of the year, not Broadway.
Looks like this is a lesson for all major corporations to invest in hiring copy editors for their job postings.
The Beauty and the Beast revival is next on Disney's list. Then either Hercules or the AIDA revival. B&TB probably takes the New Amsterdam in a year or so.

That Beauty revival is dreadful and not worthy of Broadway. Especially at this glorious theater.
