"He has that look in his eyes like he knows he's great, and that's a turn off. I'd rather take someone humble over someone who thinks they're awesome because they can screech."
"Have you actually watched the show though? Or are you just going off of his performances alone? Because while he definitely has that confidence and swagger in his performances that might make him seem smug, to me at least he is one of the most HUMBLE seeming contestants on the show just as a person :) He's very confident- and for me, that's a great thing. That's what MAKES him so engaging to watch. To watch someone who is clearly not so sure of themselves is uncomfortable.
Basically he's said himself that he enjoys being a diva ON stage, but that attitude goes the minute the performance ends. And it really is true! He seems incredibly sweet to me. Self assured, confident, but very humble and gracious toward others :)"

And your response to the other remark is what is true. Anyone that knows Adam or has talked with him and I have your description is exactly who and what he is. Think the original poster should read what Eden, Megan, Shoshana, Jenna Leigh Green have said about him in articles and videos here to find out what co-workers think about him. As for his Broadway roots or to be correct his L.A. theatrical roots they're not over. He'll be back just like others on AI as this will open doors to bigger roles. I believe I read that the Spider Man production wanted him for the lead although AI ended that possibility. I wasn't the least interested in seeing it until his name was bandied around.
And as for someone who really fits the description above on the show that goes to Dead Wife Gokey. He's demonstrated it many times over.
