Does Betty Buckley sign Carrie the Musical memorabilia?

Hi! I was lucky enough to get an original Carrie window card this past week. I am planning on going to the broadway flea market this September. If Betty Buckley happened to be a celebrity guest do you think if I brought my window card se would sign it? Se seems like she might be like happy that she got to sign something for a show that she did but because of the original show's fate it seems like she could show resentment and the last thing I want is for Betty Buckley to get mad at me. Thoughts?

If Patti is happy to sign an Evita poster at the stage door of Woman on the Verge then I'm sure Betty would be happy to sign Carrie stuff :)

Would you resent it? It's such a massive part of her career I'm sure she'd be happy to see that people are enjoying her work 25 years later.
I could be wrong, I'm just assuming she's a nice person - she could be a dick in real life.

I was wondering the same thing when I brought my Carrie poster to the stage door of Pippin for Charlotte d'Amboise. Unfortunately, she didn't stop to sign, but if I did get the chance to have her sign it, think she'd be cool with it?

I brought "Out for Blood" sheet music from Carrie and Charlotte was more than kind enough to sign it. Very intrigued to see a younger fan have Carrie memorabilia. She's a sweetheart!

Betty is very proud of her work in Carrie and understands the depth of people's devotion to her interpretation of the score. She'd be tickled to sign it.

Jordan, I didn't say Charlotte won't sign it. The day I was at Pippin (Sunday matinee during previews) neither her or Terrence stopped to sign anything for anyone; they had their daughters with them and were obliviously in a rush. However, when I went, I had Not even thought that she might not want to associate herself with Carrie and was simply asking for future reference.

Thank you guys for the advice! I just might have to give it a try! Personally Carrie is one of my favorite musicals ever. I love the story and that it serves as a cautionary tale that is very relevant to the world today. I wish the original production had ran longer because I have no doubt that Linzi and Betty would have nabed those tony nominations. Even though the show was and still is flawed I believe it is a lesson everyone should learn: What does it cost to be kind?

It is extremely relevant today to warn kids that just because you can make your hairbrushes fix your 'do with no hands doesn't mean your mom won't stab you on a giant white staircase. A word to the wise is sufficient!

She will sign it. With blood. Your own after she smashes you against the Flea Market. Then she will put it all in a bucket and wait for Patti to arrive and dump it all over her.

The bucket and the blood will be real and NOT a projection.

I just did not want to catch Betty off gaurd. Initially I thought she would be tickled to sign it but then I got to thinking about how it possibly could upset her. All I was trying to do was be cautious of Betty's feelings. There is no doubt in my mind that seeing something from Carrie would bring back many memories. Weather those were good or bad I don't know. I guess I just over analize things trying to consider others feeling. But think about it: you put months of time and effort into a show you had faith in only to have it A) torn to peices by critics and B) close after only 5 performances. I guess if it was right after the show closed she could have been a little resentful because the wound would have been fresh. But I can see that now with 25 years for it to heal show would be more than delighted to sign and maybe even discuss the show with me. Once again thank you all for your valued opinions.

After Barbara left the show (because she was almost killed by the set), the show transferred with Betty. Betty wasn't in it for as long as the rest of the cast, although I do assume she worked hard. However, in my opinion, Barbara's take n the role was truer while Betty was more "crazy". I know Margaret is SUPPOSED to be crazy, but I didn't feel the warmth from Betty.

She has spoken fondly of the show on Twitter. In fact when the recent off-Broadway revival happened she said she wished she were a part of it.

I think you're safe asking her to sign it.

Many moons ago she signed my Carrie Playbill when she was performing in Wolfboro, NH. She actually was also discussing Carrie while she was performing that night.

After the show we were talking about Carrie and she said if as many people who say they have seen Carrie that say they have, the show would have run a lot longer. :) Told her I was fortunate enough to have seen it.

To echo what others have said, Betty is very gracious with her fans. She usually makes plenty of time to sign and chat. The last time I saw her in concert, she greeted fans in the lobby immediately following the performance.
"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body
