Color the Hours,

The two of you didn't like the play? OK. No skin off my back.

My feeling is if people are going to make general statements about farces, and French farces in particular, then I would like to know how many of them they had seen to arrive at their conclusions.

As much as I enjoyed this production, I was puzzled about whether Jennifer Tilley's character was supposed to be American. She has a definite American accent. I didn't catch any dialogue to support her ethnicity.

I was puzzled about whether Jennifer Tilley's character was supposed to be American.

She's a supermodel, so she really could be any nationality. The text doesn't make any reference to it (or anyone's, for that matter, except for Suzette and George). But I'm sure the choice to make her American was more because of Jennifer Tilly's actual voice being such a trademark of hers.

That 'splains it, Lucy.

Well, her "trademark" voice is not her actual voice...just to be pernickety.

I love Jennifer Tilly and think that once she gets it right, she will be great. However, as of Saturday, she needs to practice her lines some more. It wasn't terrible, but it's not good when you start worrying that a performer is about to mess up his or her lines. Spencer Kayden was classic and Ben Daniels really carried the show. There is a lot of potential here, much of it already realized.

Glad to hear the love for Kayden. When I saw her in the show in Chicago, I was hoping for a Broadway transfer knowing she'd have a shot at the Tony. There was no doubt in my mind they would keep her in the cast.

What impressed me most about this show was that everyone stayed in character and made good facial expressions. I can't tell you how important that is.

I saw it tonight and really enjoyed myself. It takes a good 20-25 minutes to take off, but once it does, it's a really fun little treat of a show. Definitely a step in the right direction for Roundabout. Spencer Kayden was absolutely HYSTERICAL. If she doesn't (at the very least) get a Tony nomination, the nominating comittee is nuts. She elevates the show to a whole new level. Everyone seemed to be talking about her during intermission and afterwards. She's a riot.

And, for what it's worth, I really was not a fan of BOEING. I thought it was an incredibly overrated production. The only thing I truly loved about it was Mary McCormack (who was robbed of the Tony). Other than that, Mark Rylance gave one of the most irritating performances I can remember seeing onstage recently, and I just didn't laugh very frequently at all.

I laughed a lot more during DON'T DRESS FOR DINNER, even though I still didn't LOVE it. I certainly liked it enough, but it's nothing perfect. It's a trifle of a show, but a cleverly endearing and entertaining one.

BOEING had a much sleeker, slicker production (mainly because of the production values and genius that is Matthew Warchus), but for me, DON'T DRESS (certainly not without its flaws) was actually the more memorable production.

And add me to the list of people who love MORMON and ONCE and also enjoyed PROPHET and DON'T DRESS FOR DINNER. I don't even know what that generalization is even supposed to mean...

My boyfriend and I saw it last night after loosing the Book of Mormon lottery. We walked up to the box office around 6:45 and were easily able to get rush tickets for that night. We didn't know anything about it other than that it was in the style of Boeing-Boeing, but we're very glad we went. It was a very entertaining show and well written. Ben Daniels and Spencer Kayden were both wonderful. Personally I didn't care for Adam James and the constant moving of his feet, but there was little else that bothered me.

The mezzanine was about half full (the was a Friday night), and the usher was very nice when I asked him if we could move up (I feel like it supports the actors more anyway, besides the obvious benefit of giving me a better view). The audience was very receptive and vocal in their laughter, which was nice.

Definitely a great deal for $22! Very enjoyable evening. :)

"I don't even know what that generalization is even supposed to mean..."

And I don't even know why you even bring up a remark that was not even directed at you, and that has even nothing to do with you, even.

I'm glad you enjoyed the show, though.

...it has everything to do him. And anyone else who feels they are, quote, "[...] a Once and Book of Mormon person. A Sons of the Prophet person."

You're just bent out of shape because, lo and behold, people can actually like all three of those shows AND this show without bending space-time.

Uhh, sorry, but no. It has nothing to do with him, or anyone else but you, since I was referring specifically to you.

I really can't respond to that in a way that doesn't make my head hurt, so I'm settling for this post.
